My husband and I were very comfortable during the two nights we stayed here. We loved having the spacious bed in room 3, and the bedroom looked newly decorated and was very clean. It would have been lovely to have the room finished with some art or photographs of the Loch, but that’s just my suggestion. Everything worked well, except the bathroom fan, which remained on all night and was a little noisy, even with the bathroom door closed. The tea tray was fine, but it would have been nice to have 2 packets of biscuits instead of one. The view of the Loch from the room was beautiful and in the breakfast room we appreciated the views and the atmospheric Scottish music. We chose the light breakfast and we were a little disappointed that the options were very basic for the price. Pastries/croissants/a wider cereal selection would have made a big difference. The hotel is very remote. 40 mins to drive to Inverness on a 10 mile, single track lane. The host was welcoming and helpful and the hotel was spotlessly clean. No where else to eat in the area and didn’t want to eat at the hotel because of the prices and food options, so we ate in Inverness before we got to the hotel. Overall a nice stay, thank you.

We recently spent 10 days at this hotel, and from arriving to leaving Richard, Nigel and team made our stay a most enjoyable experience. Our first floor room had a magnificent view of Loch Ness, the king size bed gave us 10 nights great sleeps. The room was clean and tidy throughout. The hosts leave a bottle of both still and sparkling water in our room every day, which was very much appreciated. I would highly recommend for people wanting to stay in Foyers like no further than this hotel was has everything for a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

Over-rated and consequently overpriced (we paid ÂŁ185 B&B). Evening meal was ok, but not worth ÂŁ100+ for the two of us. At these prices, I expect breakfast cooked to order from menu - my wife asked for scrambled eggs but was told the chef would only do fried eggs - we thought this was pretty poor. Worst of all though - no hot water in the shower and no one around to discuss this with.

Just spent a night at this amazing hotel, with stunning views over Loch Ness and the mountains beyond. Booked a Loch View room which is a must as you can literally sit in bed and look straight out at the most wonderful scenery.
The owners could not have been more friendly and attentive and despite only staying the single night, we were made to feel so welcome. Evening meal was exceptional, as was breakfast and considering the location, the price of the stay was such good value.
The walk to Loch Ness only takes around 15 minutes and on the way back a detour to The Falls of Foyers only takes an extra half and hour.
We would certainly have stayed longer if we had known this was such a great place but will definitely be returning for a longer break as soon as possible.

This is the second time I've stayed at Craigdarroch Hotel for work and it definitely won't be the last. I arrived in the evening after a long drive to a personalised welcome which was lovely. The hotel was very quiet as it was off season and midweek, so I really appreciated the efforts of everyone in the team to make me feel very comfortable and looked after. The food is unbelievable, I had a two course dinner and a lovely cooked breakfast the next morning looking out onto stunning views of Loch Ness. The rooms are spacious, comfortable and the beds are some of the best hotel beds I've ever slept in! I travel quite a bit and I have to say this is one of my favourite hotels to stay at. I'll most definitely be back soon. Thank you all.

We travelled from Yorkshire to spend 10 days across Christmas and New Year, and were not disappointed. The recently refurbished upper floors were spectacular with incredible views from both aspects. The super-king size bed was extremely comfortable, plus the room was plenty spacious enough for a single roll-out bed for our child. Every luxury was catered for from local soaps to Christmas Gifts left out by staff on the night of. Speaking of staff.. Richard and Nigel were friendly, tentative and comforting hosts, who seemed to have every detail of our stay covered without bother. Mike, Sue and Michelle made sure we were kept topped up throughout and always offered service with a smile (albeit from behind a mask). Dave, the chef, carefully selected local and flavoursome produce that ranged from home-comforts to Scottish delicacies. Breakfast was sublime, and varied enough to try something new almost every day. Christmas Eve, Day and New Years Eve meals were incredible and it was fantastic to take a step back and let someone else handle the turkey. They were exceedingly accommodating when it came to catering for a 5 year old too, which we couldn't have been more grateful for. The bar and entertainment areas were warm and comfortable, with again panoramic views of the snowy landscape throughout. The local area offers some real treasures from walks in the forests, hidden waterfalls, and of course, the Loch itself. Richard and Nigel have relaxed, but precision hosting down to a fine art and it's exciting to hear about all their future plans. Will definitely return to see those come to fruition. Thank you to all at the Craigdarroch Inn.

Before I get on with my review, the one star review by a previous guest is baffling to me. If this place can’t satisfy your needs then there’s always Gleneagles!
The road from Drumnadrochit is interesting and atmospheric going through the mountains, forests and moorland , around ten miles and the views from the hotel are magnificent and worth coming just for that.
Mhari, the owner, is a delight as are her daughters. Nothing is an effort and every effort is made to make your stay enjoyable. Pavlo, the chef is also a delightful chap and his food is extremely good. Mhari overheard me saying that my tyre pressure monitor came on showing loss of air and next morning Pavlo is out checking and inflating my tyres. So kind!
The room was large, spotless and comfortable.
If looking to stay in the general area then take the opportunity to stay at this hotel if it has rooms available. You will not be disappointed.
Donald Mathieson.

Great setting very helpful and attentive hosts. The food is delicious and bedroom (loch view) comfortable and spacious with great view above Loch Ness. We enjoyed sitting outside with a drink before dinner. Some of the rooms are dog friendly and as our dog was nervous walking on the wooden floor they provided a comfy towel for her to lie on.

Once again my wife and I cannot praise this hotel high enough. We've just finished our seven day holiday, and as usual loved every minute we were up there. The hotel welcome was friendly as ever and our room was tastefully decorated with spectacular views across Loch Ness and the hills beyond. The food and service was excellent, top notch for a small hotel, nothing was too much trouble. The position of the hotel is very central to the Highlands so days out were plentiful without having to drive great distances, with stunning views around every corner. We'll see you again soon.

Hello, yes dogs are welcome in the pub and by prior arrangement in some bedrooms for overnight stay - please do let me know if I can assist further, kind regards, Elinor
Hello, it takes approx. 3 and a half hours. From Glasgow come up Loch Lomond-side on the A82 to Fort William and then on to Fort Augustus. At Fort Augustus come up the right hand side of Loch Ness on the B862. Turn off on to the B852 signposted to Foyers.
regards
The Inn is about 45 miles from Aviemore. Do not take the signpost for Fort Augustus off the A9 just now as there are roadworks. Instead carry on to Inverness, then take the B862 signposted to Dores & Foyers.
There are more places to choose from in the Foyers area.
