We have recently taken over Bank House and are in the process of making some changes. We offer a warm welcome in Fort Augustus with good home cooking, drying facilities and spacious ensuite rooms.
This is a true jewel in Fort Augustus's Crown an amazing period house with many period features and yet all modern en suite facilities. Owned and managed personally by Sue & Ian who were the most attentive hosts who ensured we had everything we required. The Breakfast was amazing and filling. Can't rate this place highly enough. Our American friends were thoroughly impressed that we had found The Bank House for their stay.

We stayed here at the half way point of walking the Great Glen Way. It is close to the centre of the village, is spacious and comfortable and well run. We were given an excellent breakfast and packed lunch. Highly recommended.

We stayed in the turret room. Immaculately clean. Great hospitality tray & bathroom miniatures. The bed was very comfortable with quality bedding. The owners are genuine & friendly & really helpful. We enjoyed our breakfasts, I'm vegetarian but my husband eats meat. Popping hot with quality ingredients & delicious. We enjoyed our 3 night stay & would highly recommend!! Perfectly situation for village evening socialising. The Boat House is great...in fact ALL the local pubs are great & populated by friendly interesting people. Please visit!!! We will be back!!

Even if we hadn't been bone tired and foot sore from our walk on the Great Glen Way, this B&B would have been Nirvana. Newly renovated, the room was charming, comfortable and spacious, yet with a cozy feeling. We had the corner turret room -- so can't speak for the other rooms -- but this was lovely. Modern bathroom (shower only) with places to put down your toothbrush and etc., nice amenities, comfortable chairs, plenty of outlets, beautiful blue and white decor -- and not a speck of plaid. It was all sparkling clean. The hosts are warm, friendly and helpful. Breakfast choices included cereals, fruit, yogurt, and hot/cooked choices. Internet worked well. Location very convenient to the center of town.

Would definitely come here again! We stayed one night as my partner was doing the rat race coast to coast. Such a gorgeous b&b with views over the canal. Sue and Ian were so friendly and accommodating, getting up at the crack of dawn to make us an early breakfast. Highly recommend.

One of the best B+B's we stayed in during our walk on the Great Glen way. Very clean and relaxing stay in the "turret room" with the four poster bed which was very comfortable. Room was large with modern shower/bathroom facilities.Wonderful breakfast served which set us up for another days walk.

This was the nicest B&B we stayed at during our 6 day long hike along the Great Glen way. The host couple were very friendly and the bedrooms are beautiful and relaxing. We had a wonderful breakfast and we also got lunch packages for the hike. The house is close to the canal which is very good.

Stayed for only one nite whilst touring the Highlands and scored a winner with the Bank House. We had the " Turret Room" which was spacious and well presented with views down over the gardens and canal . Breakfast was superb and the couple running the B&B could not do enough for you.In a lovely location with a short 2 min walk to canal and town. I highly recommend this accomodation if staying in this top location.

We were very pleasantly surprised with Bank House and wish we had this standard each night. Walking the Great Glen Way is beautiful and after hiking each day, we love to arrive at such a wonderful, charming place. Our room was very comfortable and Sue our host is lovely. The bath room facilities are modern and hot water and pressure is plentiful. Highly recommend ! We had a Canal view and lovely sunset.
