Booked a stay for family and had a fantastic time. Caroline and staff met every one of our requests (specific table for dinner, beauty treatment for girls etc) with ease and as if it was a pleasure. Beauty treatment by Amanda was great value . Food was absolutely fantastic. Service on all accounts was impeccable, without a single exception. Nothing... More

A great surprise... Splendid rooms in the lodges wing, modern, well decorated, fantastic high-ceiling, walk in showers, convenient parking spaces, totally eco-friendly... We spent hours by the fireplace at the Drawing Room, downing drams from the long menu available before (and after!!) dinner at La Brasserie. Just a pity the Station Road restaurant option was closed on the day we... More

Incredibly friendly welcome tea and scones on arrival for us, we stayed for 1 night and the location bank centre of town is perfect. We did not stay in the main buiding but were accomodated in one of the side annex small lodges. It was ok but the huge bed basically filled the room. Other than that the stay was... More

Good food and friendly atmosphere. Beautiful garden with views down to the canal. We weren't wanting a huge meal so ordered from the lunch menu and both had sandwiches which were very tasty! Reasonable prices too! Would definitely go back again :)

We had a great time at the Lovat. Our room was very comfortable and quiet, with a spacious bathroom. The restaurant served high quality and exciting food. The staff were excellent; friendly and helpful – perfect service. We appreciated the hotel’s decor and all the thoughtful extra touches e.g. the fruit and sweets bowls by the reception desk. And the... More

I stayed at this hotel for one night with my young daughter. The hotel was very comfortable but I am minded to write this review because the food was simply fantastic. The chef ( Sean Kelly - I asked his name ) is clearly classically trained and extremely talented. If you are looking for a mound of food with a... More

This lovely Bed and Breakfast has beautiful grounds as well as staff. They were incredibly accommodating as we were checking in late at night. We were traveling with a newlywed couple and the staff went out of their way to gift them chocolates to their room on such short notice. The rooms were comfortable and the facilities clean. A short... More

Great property, right next to the loch ness cruise with splendid choice of restaurants in and around. Food and drinks were fantastic, friendly staff and great service. Rooms are rather 'cosy' but it was just nice for our family of 3.

Don't hesitate to book. Fort Augustus a very special place. The Lovat - very comfortable - the owners have put alot of thought into what they do. All staff polite, courteous and helpful. I stayed in twin room - very warm but a fan was already in room and was greatly appreciated. Lovely toiletries and food very very nice. Had... More

We spent two nights here while touring Scotland. The rooms are decorated with lovely woolen tweed spreads and pillows. There were two sitting chairs, a desk, tv and nice sized bathroom with a shower. The rooms are not air conditioned, but there was a fan in the room. We ate in the small restaurant and the breakfast foods were fantastic!!... More
