I booked 2 nights in the lodge - me and my 12 year old daughter. Private room 2 single beds no bathroom. It cost £92 - very expensive for a lodge like this n- a B and B or hotel is not much more with breakfast and en-suite. Noisy banging doors all night, thin walls can hear neighbors talking, bed... Third annual visit to Stravaingers lodge, and each year it gets worse, to the point where we probably won't bother again. First year we could eat breakfast and evening meals and get drinks in the bar. Second year no breakfast, this year nothing. Didn't see the bar open at any time. Good job the pub just over the road is... More

Great location and clean comfy room and beds. Very secure and trustworthy. Ideal for walking the great Glen way. Only a few minutes to the start of all the local amenities. Easy check in and check out. Only points would he a plug socket in the room, that would be a big help x

We pulled up late to this campsite in the hope they would have a spare room as we didn't fancy camping another night. We were in luck. The woman who booked us in was very helpful, we soon had our keys and unloaded the car into a lovely twin room. Very clean. The showers and toilets were clean too. Had... More

An excellent affordable place to stay in Fort Augustus has a huge kitchen, clean rooms and friendly and approachable staff, we will be staying there again next year when we travel to Fort Augustus for a family celebration.

Very basic but decent and clean. Friendly welcome but don't expect to get breakfast on site. The village is only a short walk away for supplies. Well stocked supermarket attached to the garage. On site bar/restaurant has good, if unimaginative, pub grub. Be warned if you need wi-fi. There's no internet and I couldn't even get a phone signal in... More

I stayed here for 1 night . The accomodation is basic clean and new .However as all the doors to the rooms have door closers all you heard all night was doors of other rooms slamming and you could just about hear conversations of the people in the room next door due to the thinness of the walls .

Room - very warm due to underfloor heating, but nevertheless cosy and pleasant. Staff very nice, plenty of parking, a nice bar and no noise or annoyances - some bikers around but no problem whatsoever!

Seems like the owners skimped when building this place. It is relatively new but the bathroom doors are askew, broken flour tile, the shower mats were moldy, bunk bed falling apart. No place for 'dry food'storage in kitchen area...not a good idea to keep food in bedrooms. Poor wi fi. Pluses: friendly staff, location is close to the locks on... More

Aupon arrival at the campsite, it seems like a well looked after place, not the case, toilets and showers disgustingly, there is a sign up saying closed between 11-1230 for cleaning, they are mostly definitely not clean! The sink/wash area is high work tops and not child friendly. The staff are extremely rude! Some of the facilities aren't working. Over... More
