A great location in town, with a wonderful Lady Mrs Sheila Johnson that makes a wonderful breakfast and makes you feel welcome! We stayed for two nights and had a wonderful time in the area! The room had a hair dryer, electric tea pot, and a full bath. The room had a sunny view of the backyard and was extremely...

The room was cozy and comfortable, clean and we slept well. Breakfast was no issue. It is a 5 minute walk into town and a great starting point for tours of the locks and boat tours of Loch Ness. Excellent choice for the Scottish Highlands area.

The Caledonian Cottage is a typical ranch house with the guest bedrooms to the right of the house. Our room was small with a detached bathroom that needs updating. What we saw was no place to actually relax after a busy day, except in your room. The host was very friendly and served a very good breakfast, and the location...

Sheila was a wonderful host to our family of four. Not only did she help us find dinner on the evening of our arrival, she also made us a delicious and extravagant breakfast. The room itself was clean, cute, and comfortable. Our room had a bathroom en-suite along with a Telly, a tea pot and more. We felt safe and...

The house is really homey and is situated right behind the canal that runs through the village. Our hostess was very friendly and made us feel at home. The room was very nicely decorated, with a very modern bathroom. A big plus was the heated towel rack which was a very nice touch. The bed was very comfortable. There are...

We recently stayed at Shiela's B&B during our recent visit to Scotland. The location of the B&B is great - just about a stone's throw away from Fort Augustus. Street parking is available outside the B&B and usually easy to find. The accommodation itself is not much to write home about. We had a room with a double bed and...

This is an ok B&B, no more no less. We had a trip including luggage transfer: when we arrived at 4PM we noticed our suitcases had been sitting on front porch since about 10AM. The owner was surprised but didn't seem to bother too much. Room was not very special: size was ok, but the two seperate beds were somewhat...

We stayed one night at the Caledonian Cottage in Fort Augustus, Scotland. The location was perfect – located one block away from the main street next to the locks. The parking was on street right in front, with a short flight of stairs leading up to the house proper. We were given a choice of two rooms and settled on...

The Caledonian Cottage is a nice place the stay. The town itself is fantastic, and the canal is a fun sight to see if you have never seen one before like I hadn't. Upon arrival, the owner wasn't there so we were greeted by her housekeeper I think it was. She was nice enough. She asked what time we wanted...
