Stayed here on our Lands End to John O'Groats Cycle Ride. Facilities were good although no locking bike shed. However place was overrun with young people on their backpacking / bus tours. Did not appreciate the antipodean guys drunk in the next room at 2:45am. There were a few other folk needing a good nites sleep - e.g. walkers.

Went with a bus about tour. The staff was very friendly and engaging. It was a trivia night, which was loads of fun, and a great way to break the ice with the fellow tour mates. Learn you Scottish trivia before going, but there is some general and pop culture questions as well. And loads of fun, and mildly embarrassing... More

Was at Morag's for a 2-night and I can say it was one of the best, if not the best hostel experiences I have ever had! Cute and charming atmosphere in a quiet location, very close to Lochness river cruise point. Rooms' size is pretty much decent with an ensuite bathroom, which is a total plus! Dinners are also available... More

A group of 12 bikers and our 2nd time we have stayed this year. Beginning to need a lick of paint and we all agreed the beer is terrible. That said the staff are brilliant rooms are clean and the showers were good and strong.

It was great to welcome you back again. Our policy with beer is to stock local breweries only so we are sorry to learn that none of them were to your taste. We continually look for new local products so we will see if we can source some different local beer to add to our selection before your next visit!... More

If you were told before that this hostel was legendary you just found that it i s . There is everything a backpacker would ask for including Scottish / English (sorry!) food whose quality is much above average and there is even a fully licensed bar. Cool atmosphere. Lively people. Maybe just be careful not to be given a room... More

I rpetty much think I liked everything about the hostel - the location, the room, the facilities and the staff. The evening program at the hostel bar was a great idea, so was the hostel's own beer AWESOMENESS. If you plan to stay in Fort Augustus, Morag's Lodge should definitely be considered as a hot option.

Rooms were adequate for the 10 people in our group. we only shared one room for one nite anyway. Great Value breakfast available paid in advance. Check in process could have been a faster and more efficient. But we did arrive at the same time as another bus. Only negative thing for my group was that one of us is... More

We are sorry we did not know in advance that you required a ground floor room as we could have arranged this for you no problem. Unfortunatley a lift is not a viable option within the building. Our team pride themselves on being as efficient and friendly as possible when checking in guests. We do get large groups checking in... More

I stayed here couple nights through Haggis Adventures, and I really enjoyed my stay here. The room was clean, loved the home-cooked dinner. The atmosphere of the hostel was laid back and friendly. Would definitely recommend.

The location is perfect, quiet place and close to everywhere (bus, shops, restaurants, etc). The bedroom was clean as the rest of the building. You can use the kitchen and there´s always coffee and milk free. The staff is young and friendly. There was parties at night in the bar but I couldn´t hear anything from the bedroom. For the price...
