We spent 4 nights in the 2 bedroom Sacristy. Beautifully equipped and furnished with one en-suite. When the worst thing you can say about the modern kitchen is that you couldn't get the coffee maker to work, you know it was pretty good. The Abbey is well renovated and the grounds lovely, tennis courts and a small indoor pool are... More

We stayed in Old School 12 apartment ('The Caledonian'), which was on the top floor. This meant a couple of the rooms had lovely heritage features like stone arched windows and wooden beams but also required climbing three flights of stairs with our bags (no lift). Overall the 3-bed apartment was reasonable value but it needs some updating, including a... More

We stayed at 13 Old School during the Loch Ness Marathon. Beautiful apartment with high ceilings, great architecture and spa facilities. The grounds were fantastic and great shots can be taken at the end of the Loch. The Boathouse Restaurant is absolutely fantastic and well worth a visit. Very tranquil experience.

Spent 3 nights with my partner exploring the Scottish Highlands. The Abbey is quite spectacular with grounds running all the way down to the shores of Loch Ness. As the Abbey is heritage listed the renovations have remained sensitive to the character of the building. The mama get met us on our arrival and gave us a comprehensive tour of... More

As the title suggests, this was ideally located for exploring Fort Augustus. I stayed here with colleagues on a recent work trip to the Highlands. We stayed in the self catering cottages and they were fine. It had everything you would expect from self catering accommodation, clean rooms/bathrooms, tv, good kitchen appliances/cutlery/crockery, porch to hang your jacket etc. I felt... More

This was the best boat trip ever, to go on the rib boat over the Loch Ness!!! Special thanks to the captain who also had interesting stories about everything on the Loch, the Jacobites who lived at the highlands and specially on Castle Urqhart!! This trip I would really recommend to everyone!! 90 minutes of speeding over the Loch!!!

Staying in "the top of the fort " apartment for the second time, i was pleased to see its just as good as it was when the complex first opened several years ago. Standards are just as high throughout the complex. The apartment is well equipped, very clean and with a roof top balcony that gives fabulous views across the... More

Booked a short 4 day break in Fort Augustus on the southern end of Loch Ness and stayed at the Highland Club. It's a converted Abbey that has been done very well, with self catering apartments which are very well decorated and set up. The abbey has a pool, tennis court, kids playground and is in really nice surroundings. It;s... More

We stayed in Glen View. An apartment at the top front of the abbey overlooking the Glen. It is a spacious, light and airy apartment with lovely high ceilings and gorgeous Windows. The apartment was well kept and comfortable. The abbey grounds are beautiful and we had fun playing in the tennis courts, the children's playground, the outside table tennis... More

The location is great, very convenient for local shopping and taking boat tour on the Loch Ness. I woke up with sunshine and the loch by my bedroom window! They have amazing facilities including swimming pool, sauna and steam room, common room with a big snooker table for late night game. Staff are very friendly, welcomed and helpful. They tried...
