Room was ok (not too clean and pleasant, but bearable for one night). But in relation to the price, the room was definitely too uncomfortable. We had a triple room, directly above the pub (very loud in the night) and with a window to the main road (very loud in the morning). The bathroom was not en-suit, so we had... More

Dropped in for lunch today, lured by the promise of home cooked food and was not disappointed. Proper food, none of your frozen or boil in the bag rubbish. Even the chips were hand cut from fresh potatoes. The landlord was extremely friendly and his staff also. Had several drinks outside in the sun shine after lunch. Nice

This hotel is ideally situated in the centre of Fort Augustus and there is a private carpark behind the hotel . the staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was tasty, ample and well cooked/presented. In the room the bed was very comfortable, tea and coffee making facilities fine, good wifi connection and tv reception, but our room had no... More

Lovely hotel in an ideal location. Friendly and helpful staff. Room was clean, cosy and well catered. Breakfast was substantial, with a large range of buffet and table service options. I would highly recommend this hotel.

We stayed here for one night on Saturday 23rd July. We didn't chose this hotel, it was pre booked and allocated by our 2 day tour out of Edinburgh, so it was a bit of a gamble. We struck gold for the price we paid, it was an excellent cosy place. Our room was unusual, in as much as it... More

I have no idea what hotel the other recent reviewers checked in to but it's wither not this one or... they have very low standards! Firstly, no identifiable place to check-in then you end up standing in the middle of a small hall with some guy and a folder who can't and didn't find our bookings. Secondly, shared bathrooms!! Really??... More

We visited the restaurant during our holidays for a fish and chips. The food was very nice. Home made chips with a large portion of fried haddock. It was a little strange we had to pay before diner was served but we really enjoyed the nice food and service!

Stayed here in July 2016 for one night during a hillwalking trip. The management were very helpful and attentive, and the room was cosy and ideal for what we wanted. Good value for money and a fabulous breakfast included.

Small family run hotel so you get to talk to the owner. Entrance to the Car Park is next to The Bothy Pub and access to the hotel is up steps and through a fire door which might not be open all the time. Our room was in the attic at the very top of the building and getting to... More
