This was my first visit for my 40th birthday with a group of friends . We had a fantastic evening great food , service and surroundings . As I am now an adopted Scottish woman I love my whiskeys the selection here was fantastic. I will return and recommend Loch Ness lodge as memorable place to dine .

We recently stayed at this property and found the experience very disappointing. The staff offered basic hospitality and the rooms were old in terms fittings and fixtures and the hotel poorly maintained. The saving grace was dinner in the restaurant which was very nice Breakfast very basic and once again staff unobliging I would strongly advise staying at Inverness rather... More

We came to Loch Ness as a family for one night. This hotel looked rustic and cute but it was far from that. The staff barely spoke English and the receptionist (Polish) was new and had to ask her superior for answers to basic requests. The family room was tiny and quite frankly revolting. The room we were moved to... More

Don't stay in this place and ruin your stay in such a beautiful village. The staff are awful and you constantly feel you are in the way. When the owners came down the environment goes hostile and it couldn't be clearer that the staff don't like them. Wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy. Avoid at all costs if... More

This hotel is overpriced. The room sucked. Beds tiny, old and tired. Curtain almost transparent and 15cm from the window: not so useful in August when the sun gets up early. MInd you, breakfast finishes at 0930 so don't think you can have a lie-in. Breakfast was poor. Overall decoration poor: wood-chip paper. Receptionist greeted me at 2220 with 'we've... More

A tiny lodge, with a load of tradition and atmosphere, in a quiet spot. Comfortable and clean rooms with a large bathroom. There isn't any lift. The weak point is represented by breakfast, with a limited array.

Stopped here for one night during a business trip - so so disappointed. It was about 7.30pm until arrived at the hotel by which time the parking at the front of the hotel was full and I was directed to their additional parking which is to the rear of the property up a very very steep hill. They had noone... More

We knew that this hotel dates back to 1740 and by no means did we expect a modern place. However this hotel seems like to have been forgotten in time. The entrance is dark and the air is stuffy, which didn't give a great first impression. The whole place is wood-cladding, which makes it look very much like a very... More

The hotel is located next to a cute shop and the loch ness monster museum. it is a bit of a drive from the city centre. The building of the hotel looks cute, the old area of the hotel where the restaurant and bars are looks good but the area where the rooms are is bit run down. The rooms... More

This hotel although has the age and history is a bit of a let down. It was out dated and lacking the charm promised. Everything was overpriced from the adjacent cafe to the hotel itself. The staff were not interested as I would suspect were the owners. We did enjoy our stay and it was adequate but not more than... More
