We stayed here for 2 nights. The B&B is well situated in the centre of Durness. The accommodation is very comfortable and spacious. I tried 2 of the Glengolly specials for breakfast, whisky porridge & fruity yoghurt, these were both delicious. Martin and his wife are very welcoming, we will def stay again next time we are in the area.

We had 3 nights here and loved every minute. Martin and Mary are lovely people and made us feel at home. Best of all Martin gave us a demonstration of 2 of his sheep dogs at work rounding up sheep, there was a thick mist and the dogs ran into it like missiles after a word from Martin and a... More

I had the good fortune of staying with the Mackays at Glengolly for the second time, again during the annual Cape Wrath Challenge in May, a weeklong series of running events on the north coast of Scotland. I was with them for a full week, enjoying their warm hospitality and wonderful breakfasts. The B&B is right in the village, convenient... More

Stayed here for one night last week. The b&b is in a superb location in Durness a 5 min ride from a spectacular beach with amazing sunset views. Our room was very well decorated and had a very good en-suite facilities. The owner, Martin was very helpful and cooked a great breakfast with a selection of starters including Scottish porridge... Stayed at Glengolly recently. Have stayed several times before. Experienced the usual warm hospitality and delicious breakfasts....whiskey porridge is a must! The views of the croft are stunning as are the nearby beaches.

Spotlessly clean and special because of the friendly and professional approach of Martin. We were made to feel welcome, from the word go. The breakfast capped it all with the eggs made perfectly to our exacting standards. Thanks, Martin. We will be back!

We stayed for only one night but felt very much at home at Glengolly. The Family room was comfortable, the beach with Restaurant easily in walking distance and the special Whisky Porridge was something we'll always fondly remember. But the best thing was that when our daughter said she was interested in the Dogs that Martin gave us a real... More

We stayed at Glengolly B&B 2 nights the beginning of July 2015. What a wonderful place. It was just the kind of B&B we were looking for; homey, quiet, wonderful hosts. We enjoyed our stay and the quick wit of the owners! The breakfasts were very tasty and filling! We had flan which was great! Watching the dogs work was... More

We stayed here three nights on our honeymoon. The hosts are very friendly, the room was clean and comfortable and breakfast – especially the Mackay Country Porridge (with caramelised sugar and a good drop of whisky) and the Glengolly Special (homemade yoghurt with fruit) – was delicious. The reasons this review is only a "very good" and not an "excellent"... More
