The cottage was all you would ever need. Very clean and well kept. Brilliant laundry/drying room which we needed due to bad weather. Short walk to a wonderful beach which was great for running the dog.

if you are looking for a stopover on NC500, you wont do much better than this. Really nice rooms in a tastefully modernised old house, comfy seating lounge and great breakfasts. It is basically a bed and breakfast, but really good.

Stayed 1 night following nc500. Very well appointed bedroom, clean and tidy. Quality breakfast with several cooked options including dish of the day. Had dinner at pub/restaurant by the nearby campsite which was busy but ok.
There is no private parking for the hotel (well there is but they don't let you park in it), however there is a public car park directly over the road in front of the hotel, and as it's Durness it should be fairly safe... More
