Brilliant camp site, very friendly staff, we stayed for two nights and enjoyed lovely fires both nights with the free logs provided. Me and my two teenage children tested the mountain bike tracks, the kids loved the Pump track, the blue tracks were fab for beginners, we did venture onto the red tracks, my son and myself have some experience being... I was here for my son's wedding, what a truly magical venue it is! We stayed in the farmhouse which was clean and comfortable with a lovely, big , well equipped kitchen. The barn where the reception took place is a beautiful venue with plenty of room for dining and dancing. The outside area is a perfect place for sitting... More

The most important thing for me when I am looking for a campsite is if I can have a fire. You can here. Plus, they are very friendly, fit you in if they possibly can, and if you book well in advance or in the low season, you can get a pitch in the beautiful woods sheltered from most of... More

We agree, camping isn't camping without a fire. Nice to hear from a returning guest and glad you like the new toilet block - Martin (our maintenance guru) will be happy to hear this. Hope to see you back soon, you'll have to come and sample the Tea Garden! Amanda (front of house) More

Very organised, with minimal supervision. Basic, clean & very comfortable. Good working kitchen. Pictorial instructions how to make your bed & then strip the bed linen at the end of the stay. Fellow hostellers were friendly, & supportive of young families. Board games available for use. The onsite cafe shuts at 5pm, very good choice of filled rolls for breakfast.

Thanks for taking time to review us Jean. Glad to hear you had a good stay and the hostel worked well for you. The Tea Garden breakfast rolls are legendary - even the staff struggle to resist the temptation! Hope to see you back again soon, Amanda (front of house) More

We had a great time at this campsite!! We stayed in the lower meadow but there's camping in the woods and on the upper meadow too. There are lots of mountain biking/walking paths within the grounds and the kids spent lots of time on adventures exploring rope swings etc. It was quite muddy but we feel there's not enough muddy... A great site, lots to do, lots of activities. Here for a wedding, but lots of walking, cycling and lots more. The staff are really helpful and friendly. Better be in the meadows than the woodland pitches unless you really want to be in the woods. Good food in the cafe, grown on site on the whole. Lots of mountain... More

We camped here in the Low Meadows section on our way back to the north of Scotland after a hike up Ben Lomond (about an hour and a half away). Happened to find it with a quick google of Scotland's best campsites - not surprised! Excellent facilities on-site - hot showers, fridge/freezer, lockers, barbecue pits, bike shop (and trails just... I liked the campsite, but I wish we hadn't gotten a pitch in the woods. It's was a very wet few days, the pitch was muddy and when it stopped raining the rain dripped from the tree's above. It was nice having a real fire but I should of camped at the field further up the hill, lovely views from... More

Great to hear you liked our campsite, it's always nice to get comments from our guests. Campfires are a must for us when camping, glad you enjoyed having one and hopefully you got to roast some marshmallows. I'm sorry to hear you weren't 100% happy with your pitch. The woodlands are great for having a wild camping experience, however they... More

I visited here for a wedding last week. The venue itself is beautiful and located in the remote countryside of Perthshire. The hostel space was great, with plenty of room for wedding guests to stay over. My only complaint was the showers. One of the shared washrooms had very slow draining water into the shower plug hole which meant the... More

Thanks for taking time to review us, it's always good to get feedback from our guests. Weddings here do tend to be more chilled and laid back, so nice to hear that you enjoyed the accommodation, the atmosphere and the scenic views. I'm really sorry our showers didn't live up to expectations. Lovely hot showers and dry shower rooms are... More
