I booked a two night stay through Groupon and ended up staying alone during the week a couple of weeks ago. Fortunately I had camped at -2 the previous night so anything would be an improvement. The inn itself is very historic and well located therefore I was surprised to see how empty it was especially during the school holidays....

Am amazing little hotel! So laid back and traditional that we felt like we'd stepped back to days of yore. The night we stayed there was an Irish set dancing group in and they jogged the night away in the bar area. Fantastic. The owner, Peter, regularly organises intimate little gigs with well established musicians but this evening was an...

Stayed here September weekend, would definitely come back. Rooms very clean. Peter and John very friendly and helpful. Very rustic and traditional hotel with log fires. Very close to town centre. Very good value.

The only plus I can say about this is that the Hosts were very friendly and helpful. They could benefit with a hotel inspector to help with hints on how to run a hotel. Probably cash shortfall was the problem.

Was passing and felt like some food and drink so called in. First impression was surprise at finding no beer dispensors on the bar despite the signage outside proclaiming that 'real ale' was available; they only seem to sell bottles. We ordered a bottle, a coffee and two soups. The coffee took ages to appear and when it came it...

My room equalled that of any 3star hotel I have stayed in. Shiny clean with great facilities. Dining is in the bar but this is also the case in a 4star hotel I have visited more than once in Perthshire. The menu is not extensive but is home cooked and excellent. The bar has a wide range of spirits. There...

My partner and I stopped here on a whim during our travels through the Highlands and it was definitely one of the highlights. If I could give this place more stars, I would in a heartbeat. The room was simply magnificent with a huge beautiful old bed and a comfy leather couch with black out curtains for a wonderful sleep...

We were meant to stay for two nights. By end of first night I decided there was no way I could stay any longer. John the owner seemed like he couldn't be bothered with us. So in the end I couldn't be bothered with him. I could go into detail about the stay but other disgruntled guest have said it...

Definately not a four star hotel, but for the price I was more than satisfied. It's clean but not fancy. Cozy fireplace at night in the pub, with pianos and guitars strewn everywhere available to play, which a couple fellow patrons were playing one evening while I was there. Staff is very friendly and accommadating when asking for extra towels...
