Three of us - me, W and Mum - stayed here last week, our third visit. Once again, it was perfect - the addition of the woodburner in our lodge, Farragon, was the icing on an already rich cake! The bedrooms are spacious with tons of storage space and the beds are really comfy: gorgeous bedding/linen and plenty of towels.... More

We were lucky to escape urban surrounds for something a little more laid-back at end of July. Evidently I was so relaxed that it’s taken me nearly two months to get around to a review. We’d left organising things a little late, and it being school holidays were a bit concerned about finding a place to stay. Fortunately Lyon lodge... More

Just spent a 3 day stay in the Cluney lodge. The lodge which had been updated was very spacious and clean. The soft furnishings were very nice. The 2 bedrooms were lovely and the main bedroom with a very nice en-suite. It also had a lovely spacious bathroom. With a log burner which did come in handy as the nights... More

My partner and I were lucky enough to spend a quick break away at Drumcroy lodges in August. The views are spectacular, and the location fantastic- just behind the distillery and just far enough away from town to feel delightfully secluded. There are six lodges on the property, but they're arrayed in such a way as to feel very private.... More

We had a lovely short break in the last week of summer holidays and stayed at Lyon lodge. The pictures of soft furnishings we saw on the website indicated a more cosy surrounding than what we actually had however - a little stark and not updated I think like the other lodges - well equipt and fairly clean however and... Thank you for writing a review, we are glad you enjoyed your break. Here is a copy of the email I sent you when you booked. " Lyon lodge is available, price is £250 for a three night break plus £10 for the dog. It's a little cheaper than the other lodges as, due to internal layout, it doesn't have... More

Cabins are going though 'upgrades' although this is seemingly the installation of log burners and a lick of paint. There was the promise of a hot tub but by arrival still not installed so very disappointing. Items basic and very worn, sofa sunken, provision of a video player very outdated, small tv, electric heaters, basic fixtures and fittings all around... More

Thanks your your review, we bought the lodges last year and have been upgrading them. When guests are coming and going this has to be done gradually. They are now finished and every lodge has new bathrooms, shower rooms, kitchens and redecorated lounges. The showers were worn and in bad condition but have now all been replaced with new ones... “Just 6 lodges, all with the same fabulous view. We stayed in Lyon Lodge which is higher up the hill so possibly has marginally better view.”
