This was our fourth visit to Orkney and second time at Eastwards. We were welcomed by Patrick and Keaco like their old friends. Just like the time we stayed 2 years ago, it was great stay and fabulous food. We will be back for the third time!

Our 2 night stay at Eastward Guest House was excellent. The king size beds were very comfortable and the rooms very well equipped. The dining (breakfasts and dinners) was incredible. Thanks so much Patrick and Keiko for going above and beyond.

What an amazing B&B!! Or should we call it a B&B&D, since in addition to the 3 course gourmet breakfasts, they offer remarkable evening meals of excellent quality—very unusual for this type of accommodation. Each morning starts with their selection of one of 15 different breakfast options, each beginning with the most amazing bowl of fresh fruit. The dinners are... More

We were welcomed with opened arms after our ferry crossing back to the mainland was cancelled and we needed somewhere to stay for the night. Nothing was too much trouble and Patrick and his lovely wife went out of their way to make us comfortable by making up beds for the five of us, providing toiletries and even nightwear for... More

We booked this as a special occasion for our 40th wedding anniversary and it really was better than we had hoped for. I’m not sure that it should be described as a B&B or a restaurant or a hotel and I’m not sure quite what is but it’s better than any place I’ve ever stayed in before. Three course breakfast’s... We spent two wonderful nights at Eastward Guest House with Patrick and Keiko. We were met with a warm greeting, and our room was very comfortable, as was the bed. The location of this bed and breakfast is very convenient for those taking the Pentland Ferry. Orkney has tons to see and do, particularly for those interested in history and... More

We only had one day to see the Orkney Islands and Patrick was very helpful in helping us choose our route. Dinner was very good and served elegantly. Hot chocolate with brandy at night was a special treat. We would definitely return. Thanks for making our visit so nice.

Patrick and Keiko were generous careing hosts nothing was too much trouble. We were not the most easiest guests to accommodate, my husband is a vegetarian and I do not eat fish yet Patrick and Keiko went that extra mile to ensure we both enjoyed the Toyko Nights dining experience. The food and service we both agreed, was far superior... More

An exceptional experience staying in Patrick and Keiko's home. We celebrated our 33rd wedding anniversary with a 10 course Japanese banquet that Patrick and Keiko had prepared for us with fresh local seafood and home grown herbs. We were made to feel very welcome and given lots of helpful advice on how to enjoy the beautiful islands. We will return!!

Everything about this B&B is just right. Kako and Patrick have planned every little detail that makes stay there so comfortable. The highlight of anybody’s visit will be the food whether you are committed foodie, fussy eater or have special dietary needs this place is totally memorable for the extraordinary quality of food that they serve with local produce. Apart... More
