The hotel was old and tired but that's what I liked about it I love the beams and the old deco throughout the restutant was overly expensive for OK food so we just went out for food. The breakfast was lovely :) would stay again.

Stayed here for 2 nights in September. Owner Andy is a very nice guy but he is struggling to keep the place up to snuff. He is not the greatest handyman to be sure. Yes, the area at the top of the hill is not the greatest but not the worst I've seen. The inn setting is lovely. We had...

We never even made it to the Old Mill Hotel - the day after I had booked a room ( luckily through a well known booking site) I had to cancel as our ferry times to the Outer Hebrides changed meaning we had to be further north. The hotel charged me the full amount for the room - for a...

We traveled up to Scotland for funeral and needed a place to stay at short notice, my parents had been here a few years ago and said it was lovely. So we booked. I honesty wish we hadn't. I say this because of a few reasons really. I must say though the manager/owner was lovely and very helpful. But I...

I stayed in October 2013 and the place is as bad as the reviews on here. Located in the middle of a seedy council estate, turn round go elsewhere. I arrived and the place still had the remains of the decorations from a wedding, these were still there a few days later, very scruffy. Bar was closed, breakfast wasn't available...

This is a difficult one to review as the guy who owns it as had the property on the market for a while so i'm lead to believe by the 2 contractors who were staying there. On arriving down this dark unlit drive (at the top was a council housing estate) There were youths hanging around which made me nervous as...

Some of the reviews are over the top for the price paid. I had a great view of the waterfall and a good steak with chips and rings for less than a tenner in the bar. Jean was friendly and Andy who is the owner/chef was a great guy. I'm maybe in a minority on this page but I'd go...

We went end of January and the place was freezing for a start and only 2 members of staff and the Restaurant was quite busy. Food was awful - will certainly never be back - I was even sitting beside a radiator and had to keep my coat on all the time we were there. We entered the Restaurant at...

Entered 'reception'. This was dirty, smelt of damp and had lots of debris lying around. Told to go outside and enter via another door, pointed in direction of rooms. There was very little tread on the carpet, the walls were dirty and there a bad smell of damp and stale smoke. The room - bed uncomfortable, headboard broken, generally in...
