I had a room with a great view of the sea and slept very well in a comfortable bed. Excellent breakfast in the morning with lots of fruit and cereals and anything else you want. I strongly recommend this guesthouse

Just had a very disappointing stay here, more like Fawlty Towers with no warm 'Scottish welcome' as indicated on website. We had confirmed time of arrival but never yet saw the owner who was away the weekend. On the plus side the bed was comfortable, linen clean and breakfast good. BUT the room itself was dirty and very shabby. I emptied... More

Broom Lodge is located a little South of the Town Centre with open views from its elevated location above the beach across The Firth of Clyde to Gt. Cumbrae. It is dog friendly and the large areas of grass across the road from the hotel are ideal for exercising the dog. The breakfast spread was tempting and the full fry up... More

I had booked another B &B in Largs, but due to unforeseen circumstances, they had to close down. The closed B & B made arrangements for me to stay at Broom Lodge. The owner greeted me, very friendly, she was going away for the weekend but her staff looked after me very nicely. The room was large, clean and comfortable.... More

We were located a back room with very frayed curtains,a toilet that didnt flush very well, taking an eternity to fill back up,and some very dated decor.the room was basic, and was not worth what we paid.i woke up in the middle of the night freezing cold as the heating was off,and i couldn't get it back on . However, the lady that... More

We stayed at Broom Lodge recently for one night. We were very disappointed in the room allocated to us. We had to report that the toilet would not flush. The one curtain was not hemmed, was frayed and did not cover the window. There was only one bedside lamp and this was not working. The room and bathroom was in... More

If your into comfort, friendliness and amazing views this place ticks the boxes. Only stayed 1 night due to work but was impressed by the location and welcome made by the owner. Just a single room, tea coffee, hot chocolate and biscuits with comfy bed and fully working t.v. Only downfall is it was not ensuite but the numerous bathrooms... More

I stayed for just one night at Broom Lodge. I found it to be clean, with comfortable beds and a decent breakfast. There are beautiful views to be had of the Isle of Cumbrae, with the snow-capped hills of Arran beyond. Owner Seona was professional and welcoming. An enjoyable stay, overall.

Great views from the front over Cumbrae, Bute and Aarran. Five minutes from all central amenities. Excellent breakfast-fresh fruit, variety of cereals and freshly cooked meals. Warm welcome, owner very helpful. A lovely, stylish house. Dog friendly. Free on street parking. Reasonable rates.
