Had a meal here on a recent Friday evening. The service was excellent, the food was delicious, the prices reasonable and the location fabulous. Can't wait to repeat the experience. I don't know what it is like to stay here but I can certainly recommend it as a restaurant.

Lovely family run hotel, 5 mins from the beach. Excellent food, wine and hospitality. I was upgraded to a suite during my stay with a separate sitting room and a sea view. Definitely recommended to all my family, friends & business colleagues.

We stayed at the Haylie Hotel recently and found it to be a very welcoming and comfortable stay. Our room was beautiful with amazing views over the Clyde and even had a cute little sitting room. The staff were all extremely helpful and friendly. Perhaps the best part of the stay was the FANTASTIC breakfast. It was hands down the... More

our room had a fantastic view over the water. It would appear that not all rooms over look the water, so might be worthwhile asking for sea view. Room was bright and spacious, it was lacking decent hanging storage, but for one night this wasn't an issue. Bathroom was clean and bright with big shower..although a bath would be nice... More

Hadn't been at The Haylie for almost a year. Decided to take our English friends who had never been to this part of Scotland before and what a wise choice. We were shown into the spacious lounge and had drinks while we perused the menu and had said drinks taken to dining room for us - if not finished We... More

Beautiful food: recommend the langoustine- which I have tried in the past and is freshly caught by a local fisherman. Extensive wine list, the house Shiraz is a personal favourite. The warm caramel shortcake is also a delicious home-made desert. The coffee is served with complementary home-made tablet. The restaurant is candlelit and has a nice atmosphere. The lounge, which you... More

Lovely hotel, lovely room and an excellent full breakfast! Would definitely return! Short walk from all local stores etc, front of house can also call for a taxi and parking is also available out front or by the side of the hotel by use of private parking.

This is a unique atmospheric hotel, with amazing views, fab food and friendly helpful staff, highly recommend. The langoustine are the best I ve ever tasted, the steaks are amazing. Service second to none. Good wine list, in an amazing atmosphere. Well done everyone, one of my favourite places to eat.

We stayed here for one night in December. Myself and my husband had eaten in the restaurant previous to staying here and both the food and service were good. We had a spectacular view from our room on the first floor, I didn't find the bed very comfortable and the sheets didn't seem to "fit" but it was ok for... More

Family meal for three in our local Haylie Hotel , an ambient dining area which had several tables with diners yet so peacefully quite which set the mood. The meal itself was edible but could have been a whole lot better as my Lasagne was very dry and only draught lager was Tennants which I felt was a let down.... More
