Lovely venue for dinner. We weren't staying here but stopped for dinner with friends. We found the staff friendly and accommodating (we hadn't made a booking). The dining room setting is very nice with a great variety to the menu. All the meals were delicious -especially the tortellini.

Hotel is going through an ongoing refurbishment. Which it is in need of. Selection of food was great. Good selection for breakfast. Great location. Good size rooms. We paid extra for a sea view room. One of the Windows was steamed up between the panes - the cost of upgrade was refunded. I would defiantly visit this hotel again.

The rooms are a wee bit tired but immaculately clean & the beds very comfortable. I was actually sitting in the lounge area & had an informal chat with the lady who is the head housekeeper & she takes great pride in the cleanliness of the rooms ! I would say this hotel is in many ways like "my auntie's... More

The Hotel is situated right in front of the sea and some of the rooms have an unobstructed view of the sea. The seafood in the restaurant is excellent and the service of the F&B team is also great. Overall it was a memorable stay.

Had a lovely time last night celebrating my birthday. Food was good, not expensive, and arrived in good time . Waiting staff very busy but very pleasant. The only slight down side was the lack of ventilation in the room when some guests were being served steaks on sizzlers. They smelt lovely but the smoke soon had all of us... More

Lossiemouth is a very small place, but they have a golf course. It looks be very popular. From our room we have a view over the golf club across the street and the sea. the reception lady was very nice but the hotel is in old style and not so fresh. the breakfast was good like a usual buffé. We booked this hotel for two nights whilst attending a family wedding. The cost of the hotel was very reasonable compared to other hotels in the area as we needed to book three rooms. Good points about the hotel - All staff were very friendly and helpful, hotel is in a great location with a view of the beach, good... More

I stayed at the hotel and had my case broken into! Luckily enough they didn't find anything valuable when I questioned them about it they tried to blame me!! Clearly have staff that aren't trustworthy enough! You should be able to leave your room and things and expect them to be safe! But clearly not with this hotel! Definitely wouldn't... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
A warm welcome awaits you at this family run hotel in Lossiemouth. A great relaxed family friendly atmosphere exists at this hotel and is frequented by many returning guests and locals alike. The breathtaking view from the front of hotel overlooks the Moray Firth and beyond to the Cromarty Firth and to the hills of Caithness. The hotel is directly opposite the ancient Moray Golf Club, and is ideally situated for exploring the Coastal, Castle or Whisky trail, as well as being well situated for visiting the cities of Inverness and Aberdeen and surrounding area. The Stotfield Hotel has recently undergone a refreshing transformation of many of its bedrooms and also the ground floor guest area. However, this historic hotel retains many of its original character and features from 1895, including the fantastic sweeping staircase and period revolving front door. During your stay you can enjoy free access to high speed wireless broadband throughout the hotels public areas, free car parking (limited spaces available, ample on street parking adjacent to the hotel) but most of all comfortable and relaxed surroundings. ... more   less
