We stayed at the Glenisle Hotel earlier this month and experienced and enjoyed the attention to detail previous guests have mentioned. All the staff were pleasant and prepared to go the extra mile. One lady helped us connect to hotel's Wi Fi and later helped us to arrange our early return to the mainland after a threatened ferry strike cut...

This was our third visit, and we had to have a cosy double with no sea view this time, as the superior rooms were unavailable. But it was surprisingly roomy, and being at the back, very quiet. As on previous visits, the staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, the food exceptional and the room spotless. Arran may only be a...

This is a very special hotel. In fact, it is exceptional in every respect. We had a superior twin bedroom overlooking Holy Isle, it was beautiful. Extremely comfortable and spotlessly clean; you even get a choice of pillows. Bathroom with big fluffy towels, robes, toiletries. The room had tv, free wifi and broadband and binoculars! Well stocked with tea, coffee,...

I have been to the Glenisle before and will definitely be back. Everything from the warmth of the welcome to the comfort of the rooms is excellent. We chose to dine at the Glenisle each night of our stay. The food is wonderful and the menu varied enough to mean you were still struggling for choice after the third night....

We stayed here at the end of a short break and were sad we could not have stayed longer. Our room was room 1, which was a superior room, which overlooked the sea. (binoculars provided!). We can only reflect what other reviews have said... great service, wonderful food, good choice, marvellous staff.... words fail!! Breakfasts were excellent with a good...

Our first visit to Arran and we hit the jackpot. Probably the best location on the island and probably one of the best hotels. Excellent rooms, excellent food and excellent service, the staff couldn't do enough for us. We would highly recommend this hotel

We had two nights in the hotel and ate on both evenings. Our reservation was made by email and done in a friendly and efficient way, including arranging the ferry at a discounted rate. The contemporary styling of the public areas and bedrooms made it a very attractive place to stay and with a lovely setting looking over the bay...

We have just returned from a short trip to Arran and spent four nights at Glenisle Hotel. The hotel staff were first class and so helpful. The food was very good and served promptly. We had room 11 that is described as a "Cosy" room. This was all we could get and we found it too small for a true...

I recently had my birthday dinner at The Glenisle while staying in Lamlash. It was very busy and we had to book, but the food and service are excellent and it has a very nice atmosphere. I am vegetarian, and there were good options for me. I would highly recommend it, and will try it for afternoon tea and cake...

We've just returned from our third stay at this lovely hotel and can only thank the management and staff for an enjoyable holiday. The staff are friendly and attentive, the accommodation homely, tasteful and comfortable throughout, and the food splendid thoughout. Everyone we spoke to shared this view, so it is disappointing to read a lengthy earlier review which was...
