The village is central (as most places on Arran), the hotel welcoming and the staff excellent. We stayed two nights. Dined in both evening - and there was an obvious reason for that; excellent food. Super breakfast. Before choosing the hotel, we consulted TripAdvisor, and one of the low scores was a guest who wasn't pleased of being put in...

We spent three nights at the Glenisle Hotel in May 2017. I chose the hotel on the back of the strong tripadvisor reviews. The couple who run the hotel (Tracy & Tim) are very welcoming and the staff we met were very friendly, with the two waitresses we encountered particularly good at making you feel that nothing was too much...

We stayed in room 2 which overlooks the bay but is on the only main road on the island. We had a lovely stay. Room very comfortable staff great fun and fabulous food. We'd stay here without any hesitation if we were to return. Customer service top notch. I'm asking the chef for the Ratatouille receipie.

Our second visit was as good as the first! Well appointed rooms. Ours had a lovely front view. Interesting menu, well prepared with excellent presentation. Very friendly staff more than willing to help and advise. Would be more than happy to pay a return visit.

My wife and I were taking part in a major scouting event on Arran. Since we are getting a bit old to be camping we opted to book a nearby hotel. From the moment we set foot in the hotel the experience was wonderful. Staff are very friendly and obliging. The hotel is comfortable and the food is very good....

Stayed in Room 14 which is their top of the range room. Worth every single penny. Fantastic views across the bay, great comfortable king size bed, plenty of space and a massive bathroom with rolltop bath and separate shower cubicle. They also provide a set of binoculars to use to look out over the bay which is fun! The staff...

Despite all the wonderful reviews we somehow must have slipped through the net. We booked the best room for one night at £228 as an anniversary celebration. It was a lovely big room with nice touches like binoculars and low level lighting - however, the painted furniture was beginning to look tired, the fabric on the stool was stained, and...
