First night on Arran. Went to ormidale hotel for a evening meal. Good home cooked food and enough to fill up most people. Staff friendly and the Guinness is good. Was here last year and enjoyed the banter with the locals while the rugby world cup was on.

Excellent place Small Pub/hotel with lovely grounds, very dog friendly and a great bar presided over by a genial host and offering a range of draft ales including two from the Arran Brewery, apparently the only place in Brodick to stock these. Great garden for smokers and an enclosure. This is a popular hostelry for visitors and local alike and... More

Spent 3 nights in this hotel recently. The single bedroom I had was quite hot due to a boiler or something being behind the wall and it was above where the entertainment is, so could be a bit noisy with the music in the pub. But apart from that the rooms were clean (except the Windows), the duvet/pillows/towels were spotless... More

Stayed here for four nights and had a lovely relaxing time. Food good, staff friendly, rooms clean and beautiful surroundings. The locals use this hotel and we found everyone very friendly. Entertainment on every night and we haven't laughed so much, mainly at ourselves. Would highly recommend this hotel although it can be quite noisy, but we were informed of... More

We had a lovely two night stay at the Ormidale Hotel. The staff couldn't have been friendlier or more helpful. Our room was clean and comfortable and the hotel has an excellent location in the middle of Brodick. We took our dog and she was welcome everywhere in the hotel (apart from the dining room obviously) We had a delicious... More

We visited this establishment tonight upon the recommendation of a local guest house owner, for an evening meal. The hotel is very much in need of refurbishment in the public areas. Patrons who are eating shouldn't have dogs appearing whilst earing. The windows haven't been cleaned in God knows how long and the area we were in showed signs of... More

Stayed here on our first night on Arran & it was very close to the ferry terminal. Hosts very welcoming & helpful, & room adequate & spotlessly clean. The meal in the bar at night wasn't great but it was quiz night & we enjoyed that afterwards. Breakfast was lovely & the two ladies serving it were charming. Would stay... More

Great place for daily events, the full list is on their website. We visited on Sunday for the live folk music. Great night and cheap drinks. If you play an instrument or can sing let them know and they will be happy to let you join in. Great atmosphere.

If you are looking for a cracking Saturday night this is the place to be. The DJ is great and the staff are game. Watch out for the slippy floor in the toilets though. Plenty of good whisky on off and an open fire as well. What else do you need?
