This guest house has recently been acquired by Ross and Hannah Duncan and they are fantastic hosts. From the minute you arrive they are both so helpful and can't do enough to make your stay a pleasant experience. Coffee and tea is available at all times and cakes are there for you in the afternoon. The breakfasts are very good... More

I had initially thought we were overextending our trip by including Arran in our itinerary. Arran actually turned into one of everyone's favorites, however. Our group of 4 spent two nights here in September (2016). It is a lovely B&B. There are two common rooms with lots of interesting reading (particularly regarding Scotland and Arran). Tea is available all the... More

Situated just off the main road through Brodick, far enough back to be quiet. We had the two rooms at the top of a staircase with a private landing and a bathroom between, ideal for a family. The view from bedrooms overlooked Brodick Bay and the Ferry, but the view from our bathroom was spectacular - Brodick Bay and Goatfell.... More

We stayed one night in early september and we were satisfied. Small room but cosy and fully equipped. Clean. Bathroom was not on suite but private in any case. Big and clean. Breakfast was delicious both the English one than the porridge. Common spaces are great with all you need to find information and or ideas to spend your time... More

booked this accomodation at short notice for two nights knowing that it was under new owners. must say we were a little apprehensive as to whether they would have settled in or perhaps we would be a season too early. well we were met on arrival by a happy and welcoming young couple who had come to arran on a... The Glenartney can not be faulted. It is in the perfect location off the main street but still close enough to the town to be able to enjoy what it has to offer. The homemade cakes in the afternoon were very welcome, especially after having cycled round the island. The room was spotlessly clean and our "small double" was a... More

We stayed here two years ago and loved the place. It occupies that place between a B&B and a hotel and it does it well. Its recently changed hands but Ross and Angela have managed to maintain that which made the Glenartney a great place to stay. Its about 1km from the ferry terminus and close to bus stops. It... This short stay of ours surpassed our expectations! We got a really warm welcome and was encouraged to use the facilities of 2 lounges, use of fridge ( with wine glasses ) cakes aplenty, beautiful bedroom and use of a spacious bathroom next door for a long soak!! Breakfasts were fab and I particularly recommend the porridge with a dash... More

We were looking for a dog-friendly B&B for a one night stay in Brodick, and the Glenartney surpassed our expectations. The room was small but very comfortable, and there was a welcome pack for the dog, including a towel, treats and a voucher for a breakfast sausage. There were two comfortable lounge areas, with lots of books, complimentary tea, coffee... More
