The best part for this apartment is location. You will struggle to find any better place to stay in Arran at this price. Main advantages are: closest to ferry terminal walking distance from bus stop. mesmerizing views by just stepping out or from the windows. stores nearby to buy stuff I have not seen any better location in Arran to... This place is a short walk from the ferry terminal. The view of the sea and beach is spectacular. Unfortunately, the place is very poorly maintained and looked after. As we entered there was an overwhelming smell of rotting fish. The flat itself was smelly and mouldy. The bedrooms were full of mould and the bed heads and the curtains... More

I stayed at the Shote House for a short break in Arran. It is good to find self catering accommodation that is flexible - you don't have to book for a full week. The apartment was small but well-equipped, clean and tidy, it had everything I needed. I was in apartment 9, which had a bath but no shower. I... More

I stayed at the Shorehouse a long time ago, before TripAdvisor had been invented. I even ended up in the same apartment as last time, but there wasn't availability for all the time I was on Arran. The facilities were fine, but the shower and toilet were rather cramped. There was a smell of woodsmoke in the room on arrival,... More

I was pleasantly surprised that this traditional hotel had lovely self-contained apartments inside. Not luxurious, they had everything one would need. Very friendly and hospitable owners, location is superb - very central an in close proximity to the ferry. Would definitely book again.

I stayed here last year too. The apartment was kitschy, but had a bit of charm. There was also a full sized bath and good wifi. This year I was in a different apartment. Slightly nicer decor, but not as well laid out. The bathroom also had only a shower with a curtain - which I don't like - and... More

Stayed at Shorehouse Cottage with my 2 girls and 2 dogs for 3 nights May. The cottage was ideal, clean and comfortable and spacious. The owners were very friendly as was "Archie" their lovely Spaniel. The garden was great for the dogs to have a quick run out, first thing in the morning. The cottage was ideally placed in Brodick...
