This hotel feels like a quality establishment in every respect. Reception was personal and attentive. The majority of the rooms are on two floors - bed, bath and closet on the lower level, sitting room with dining table on the upper level. Both require a small flight of stairs so if this is an issue, I believe they have one...

A comfortable quite spot in Fife, this is a draw for locals and visitors alike. Wonderful comfortable setting in an extended old inn with a welcoming fire in the lounge on arrival. Easy to sip a glass of champagne as the difficult decisions are made on the menu. Good Scottish ingredients are a foundation for the cuisine. I enjoyed the...

Possibly the best restaurant in Scotland with the Three Chimneys. Superb with prices to match. Disappointment is not an option! Presentation is first class as are the waiting staff. All the ingredients seem to be locally sourced including the beer.

We were given a voucher for this restaurant as a special present as it was on our must dine places.Wow we were impressed from the time we stepped into this beautiful establishment. The decor is simply fabulous and the menu choice extensive. We were waited on by a friendly happy team in the cosy area and nothing was too much...

We found the rooms to be very clean and well equipped. There was tea/coffee making facilities and chocolate brownies also a decanter of sherry. Milk was offered on arrival. Lovely toiletries in bathroom and robes but no slippers. A plentiful breakfast was served in the room by very pleasant staff. I feel the focus is on the food in the...

We first visited the Peat in 23 years ago when David Wilson was owner /chef and it was great. When Chef Smeddle took the brave decision to take over it looked like a big ask. Over the years we have returned and the food and service has just got better and better. Last night we had dinner and stayed over...

This was the last of the 1 star restaurants we stayed at during our trip around Scotland, the rooms was fantastic, split level bedroom below, living above. We had the 5 course tasting menu with pairing wines, we were both not sure of one course but all was a great experience. The staff were friendly and helpful, would go back...

Dinner here was a belated Christmas voucher treat. What a treat it was! Food was excellent. Highlight was the starters: pork cheek and an amazing onion tart with lobster (an unlikely but amazing pairing). Service can be too attentive at times but overall, the ambience is relaxing and friendly.

When booking over the phone, Fiona made a lovely first impression. Throughout our conversation she was gracious and professional. We chose the Epicurean Indulgence package including dinner from the tasting menu, one night's accommodation and breakfast. This would also be a nice base to stay and visit the surrounding beautiful countryside without having dinner in the restaurant. The hotel is...

Situated just outside St Andrews this is a must visit for special occasions! It is pricey but you are assured of great food and service. A variety of menus from which to choose from is available. Perhaps a little fussy with protocol but overall a very good experience.
