Just returned from a 4 day break and will be my first choice when return to the area again. We had an outstanding family room, overlooking the sea and waking up to that view every morning was wonderful. The dining area overlooking the garden is lovely also and the breakfast choices were many and varied, with a selection to suit... More

Straightforward, simple, friendly both times on civilian business. 2 years ago, and also: just back from too short a stay.Beautiful location. Lovely people. If you want corporate image, frills, interchangeable staff with black outfits and no personality:look elsewhither. If you want to know the real folk of the area, this is the place.

In this attractive Royal Burgh, this hotel provides good accommodation and a menu which includes local dishes. Fish is frequently on the menu which has been landed that morning. An excellent venue for walking to Fife Ness and along the coastal path to Elie or St. Andrews. The area is known for music recitals of high quality.

I chose this hotel for the sea views. Morgan, the elusive and eccentric owner, provided a lovely ensuite room with excellent views out to sea. It is something to wake up to that view. Panoramic horizon and seagulls calling. You can hear the not-so-distant waves on the shore as you snooze. Very peaceful. I thought my room was clean, warm... More

Stumbled onto a gem of a place on Halloween!. Came into Crail late and spotted the Marine Hotel and met Morgan the owner, he provided a beautiful view of the water from a wonderful suite. We were invited to a Halloween party and had a terrific time meeting the locals and trick or treaters! Will be a place to plan... More

Hotel was lovely, nice rooms with beautiful view. The garden is fantastic and looks over the sea, gorgeous on a sunny day. We were made to feel most welcome by Morgan, and have booked our second visit before leaving. Lovely breakfast with great choice of food available. We were really happy we chose to stay at the Marine Hotel :)

We discovered this quirky hotel as we were travelling through Crail on the east coast of Scotland. It is purely B&B, no lunches, no dinners, no Bar. The room on the first floor had an amazing sea view and was great for the two of us. You need to bring in your own drinks (beer etc), however bring a bottle... More

The Marine Hotel is a very unpretentious, quirky, comfortable and cheap place to stay. The owner is a likeable eccentric and the hotel décor is quirky. We (a party of 4 golfers) stayed for 3 nights in June 2015 and we actually enjoyed our stay and will go back in the future. The bedrooms were clean, warm, spacious, and comfortable.... More

Stayed in this hotel and where the view from the room was outstanding but the hotel and the cleanliness of the hotel were questionable. I would have been happy to pay for another hotel and lose my money once I had seen the room but there was no availability. We had a room with a shared bathroom that just did... More
