We stayed for 3 nights during the festival after reading the varied reviews I thought this would be an interesting place to stay. On arrival I was scolded by Annie for banging on the door instead of using the doorbell (which I could not see as it was painted over). My first thought oh my god but once we got...

Annie is a very friendly host. Her dog, Bramble, is just as friendly, but since I am a little allergic to dog's hair, she was totally 'invisible' while we were staying. Annie's house is conveniently located at the very western end of the centre of Mussleburgh. It is a cosy, clean and well-kept old house with all the comforts you...

As my family and I were booking our holiday to Edinburgh we saw Annie's cottage and thought "what a lovely welcoming B&B" but soon opinions quickly changed. About 10 phone calls later we were outside the cottage and eager to meet the infamous Annie deacon, our first opinions were not at all impressed as when we tried to shake her...

We stayed at Annie's B&B last year. We were on our short little honeymoon trip joined by best friends from Germany. We had a Hotel booking for the 1st night, our friends had booked at Annie's as part of a Scotland tour. When we then decided to extend our Edinburgh trip by one night, we asked if we could join...

Annie is a lovely lady, and can not do another for you. The house is spotless and the breakfast! Well you do not need to eat again until 4 in the afternoon, try the omelets. Annie is full of information. Will stay there again

I stayed at this B&B while I was working on a festival at a nearby theatre. After correcting my grammar on the phone (I have an English degree) Annie informed me I'd have to be out all day, not something I was aware of when booking, and useless as I work unconventional hours. After declining to walk her dog she...

Annie is a tiny lady with lots of personality and charm and she made us all feel like friends being welcomed into her home. Our bedrooms were spacious and very clean, and the road is very quiet leading to a good night's sleep. Breakfast was delicious with plenty of choice and Annie's legendary omelettes.

We're a middle aged couple and spent 4 nights at Annie's. She was gracious, helpful and very interesting to talk to. Her place is homely and perfect for a b+b. As well its a simple 20 main bus ride into Edinburgh from virtually outside her door. ( saves finding parking which is difficult and damned expensive) ....however I would not...

We stayed with Annie for three nights, she was very helpful & went out of her way to provide great service including a top rate breakfast. The location is fantastic with the Esk running past your door and a selection top class restaurants nearby an added bonus. Just a 20 minute bus ride to central Edinburgh (Annie even offered us...

We stayed at Annie's for 4 nights as a husband and wife visiting our teenage daughter, who was working at the Edinburgh festival and we loved every minute of our stay. This is a pretty fishermans cottage which sits on the banks of the river Esk, a view we woke up to each morning. When you step inside, you step...
