After travelling from Belfast meeting Bob at the front door with the promise of afternoon tea was just what we needed. Once we settled in to our very comfortable and spacious rooms we were entertained with stories, tips and advice about dinner, morning walks, local attractions and our ongoing trip. All of which I have to say turned out to... More

The Whitepark House is a historic, gracious home, well appointed and beautifully decorated with art and heart by Bob, the host. The rooms are spacious and gracious, beautiful, and spotlessly clean. Bob is an excellent, knowledgable and welcoming host and very helpful with ideas, plans and suggestions for dining, tours and places to visit. The house has wonderful ocean and garden... More

We stayed for 3 nights and it was wonderful. Bob, the "landlady" is mine of information and his tips on where to eat and when/where to visit were spot on. The house itself is lovely - filled with an eclectic mix of artefacts from all over the world - and it is spotlessly clean. I can't think of a thing... More

Bob Isles operates a first-class bed & breakfast - the 300yo old home is modern, beautiful and charming! Greeted with a lovely cup of tea and treats! What a wonderful location overlooking White Park Bay and the rear garden is so tranquil - filled with flowers, birdsong. Our room was quite roomy with a comfortably firm bed where the scent... More

Mixed feelings about doing this review – entirely selfish – as it could make it more difficult to get a booking. Nevertheless feel duty bound to thank Bob for the most enjoyable B&B experience we have had. Only an hour from home it envelops you in its quiet, relaxed and friendly atmosphere. The house and grounds are lovely and Bob's... More

We typically enjoy staying in B & Bs to get the local flavor of an area where we visit and to meet other people from around the world. We have stayed in some of the best in Europe and Whitepark House definitely ranks as one of the best, as is evident in the reviews. The location could not have been... More

Location and ambience made this a wonderful 4 night stay for us. Bob is gracious, friendly, fun, funny, knowledgeable, helpful and an artist. We were delighted to make this our home for 4 nights and tour the area where we were able to do and see places within reasonable distance. The Whitepark Bay entrance is a 1 minute car ride,... More

This is a very, very special place to stay. The house and garden are full of personality: beautifully presented with luxuriously appointed rooms, and highly personalised welcome and hospitality from the owner. Breakfast was an event in itself, with good food, good company, all graciously hosted by the owner. We were given excellent advice about places to eat in the... More

Really enjoyed our visit. The location and view can't be beat. Rain or shine, the view of the bay is amazing. Bob, the host, is very helpful. His tea service is excellent and the breakfast wonderful. The rooms are elegantly appointed and intelligently designed. Not to be missed.

This was one of the nicest B&B's we have stayed in, and we having stayed in many during our 6 trips to Ireland. The four of us arrived a little early, and dropped off our luggage and Bob was very accommodating. Upon our return from seeing a few sights, Bob had tea ready to be served by the fire. He... More
