After last year's break here decided to see if had improved. Again booked a tower room and got one at front of tower which did give lovely views across the beach and sea (shame weather let us down but I think even Hastings staff can't do anything about that!) The food on the first night was lovely and beef just... More

Firstly I would like to point out my review isn't a true reflection of the hotel but of the circumstances round our visit. The hotel is beautiful and we had a fabulous bedroom overlooking the sea. The staff were very friendly and our dinner was excellent. So from this point of view I would highly recommend. The problem with our... More

The Antrim coast is so worth a visit and we found a wonderful hotel in Ballygally Castle. As well as walking the beach, don't forget to check out the garden and river walk. Our room overlooked the sea, great way to wake up to the sound of waves. We enjoyed our dinner and the staff were so attentive and friendly... More

We stopped here for lunch while driving along the Antrim Coast Road from Belfast to Portrush... the service wasn't very friendly, and the food wasn't very good, so despite the quirky decor (nice 'Game of Thrones' scene going on there), we were quite grateful to be getting back into our car and driving on! (Specifics: we ordered one chicken panini... More

Everything was perfect. Staff efficient and friendly, hotel well cared for and scrupulously clean, gardens a delight, breakfast excellent, bed so comfy we're now researching supplier if King Koil mattresses. Only disappointment- we didn't see the ghost of the castle :)

We were staying at Water's Edge B&B when it was suggested that we have dinner at Ballygally Castle Hotel. There is an offer for early diners. A three course meal and a glass of wine. I forget the exact price but it was a very reasonable deal and the food and wine were absolutely fine. The hotel has a ghost... More

The food was dreadful and expensive. The waiter was really nice and attentive - it was not his fault that the food was sub-standard. The receptionist was pre-occupied and rude. The decor is very good with a lovely "Game of Thrones" door. However, we shall not be returning.
