Stayed for a wedding for two days, lovely setting food was excellent both at breakfast and at the wedding.Prices in the bar are way over the top .Perhaps they encourage people to bring their own and drink in their room,be aware. The grounds of the hotel are beautifully kept and provide many picture opportunities. The staff are pleasant and easy to deal... More

Stayed here for my brother in laws wedding. Nice location looking out onto the sea and beautifully maintained walled garden. Accommodation was spacious and modern and bed very comfortable. Air conditioning did not appear to work so had to sleep with window open which meant external noise disruption. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast is buffet style. I paid a... More

We stayed on a dinner, bed & breakfast package in one of the Tower Rooms. There was a shower room and a separate toilet and wash hand basin room. Shower robes and slippers were provided, as well as tv, coffee making facilities, hair dryer and WiFi. The room was clean but compact. That is something which cannot be altered though... More

My friend and I went for a meal on Saturday night. I requested a window table when I booked and we got what we asked for overlooking the garden which was lovely. The hotel was busy and the staff attentive and our order came quite quickly. I ordered the crab cakes as I'd never tried them before and although tasty... More

Having recently returned from a family wedding (meal and evening reception hosted at this hotel), I must commend them on their efficient and friendly service throughout the afternoon, from the dinner service to the staff behind the bar. The hotel is tastefully decorated, with a decent outside space (very helpful in the current weather!) and some very comfy couches in... More

Stayed over after a wedding at this hotel and found it generally excellent. Lovely situation very clean and good service. However drinks were expensive and frankly our breakfast was poor. We arrived nearly an hour before service stopped and found no eggs, no bacon or tomatoes. Only a little fried bread and mushrooms. Complaints brought little response from the staff... More

Stayed here for one night for a wedding. We had a beautiful spacious room facing the sea with views towards Ailsa Craig and the Mull of Kintyre. Everything was spotless. Bed was huge and very comfortable. Very quiet despite being on the coast road - odd car passing early in the morning. Wedding reception was well organised and meal was... More

Ballygalley castle is great for a coffee stop. Even if your out cycling feel free to call in and get a good cup of coffee and a tray bake for little more than you would expect from a shop in a take away cup. The views from the lounge are great and if the weather happens to be cool the... More
