decided to stay local for my partners birthday and celebrate it with drinks and food on the quay in the sun overlooking the Purbecks. I decided on the traditional roast whilst he fancied the hot rock mixed grill. This is a unique experience of cooking your own meat to your satisfaction and a plentiful selection of steak chicken pork and...

Overpriced and unwelcoming! Beautiful early evening out with friends, very much dampened by EVERY possible aspect of this Inn. Amazing riverside setting but NOT worth our money or time. Evidently unhappy management and staff. Go elsewhere!

Good afternoon, we are sorry to hear you found our inn over priced, when it comes to pricing our items our pricings are in line with the area and other pubs around us as we believe in delivering quality products at reasonable rate, we are a very happy bunch here the staff do enjoy working in this faced past environment...

“As a solo traveller far as I have experienced, all of the rooms are annexed in a converted waterfront warehouse close to the pub above an ice cream/tea room, accessed by a street front door way up a flight of stairs, all are on the first floor. All of the rooms are en suite, tastefully decorated and have comfortable beds. Although not overly large the rooms are well equipped [tea/coffee/hair drier] for short breaks and are not disturbed by music from the pub when bands are playing. WiFi may be available in the rooms but i have only used the free WiFi in the bar. All of the rooms overlook the small public car park with direct views across the river and meadows beyond [fabulous on a bright frosty morning] Several visitors have commented on parking difficulties, parking is free between 1800-0900 but charges apply outside these times, this public car park is also used as a market venue on Saturdays. Ample parking is available close by if spaces in front of The Quay are unavailable.”
