This is a friendly and helpful country pub serving good yumny food. The staff are happy to chat and advise you on other things to see and do in the area, if that's what you want. A nice place to enjoy the sunshine with an enormous well kept beer garden.

Met my wife here for lunch on a Thursday. Not too busy as expected. Bar lady very pleasant and chatty. Ordered drinks and food which both arrived quite quickly. Wife had scampi and jacket potato which she really enjoyed. I had ham egg and chips which was very filling and absolutely delicious. Good food and good value. Recommended.

We visited the fiddleford inn for an evening meal and were greatly disappointed Very unfriendly welcome from the elder gentleman behind the bar who later spent a good deal of his time staring at us as if we weren't welcome The food was very average and portions were very small, our whole party was still hungry after the main course...

We were greeted with a warm welcome and asked to chose where we sat. There was traditional roasts or a specials board. We had roast dinners, one beef one turkey . Both came with Yorkshire pudding, roasted potatoes, parsnips, stuffing balls. 2 green veg as well. Horse radish with beef, cranberry with turkey. The plate was full, the turkey very...

Booked table of 20 for dinner. At this point the manager could have put on extra staff to make our experience pleasant but no. The bar and waiting staff worked at a snails pace and were beyond rude and unhelpful. The food came out in batches and was VERY average especially the shredded cardboard offering the vegetarians had to suffer....

I first became aware of the Fiddleford Inn, as a friend that lives in Sturminster Newton took me there for dinner. Having had an excellent meal before and learning that the property had rooms, I decided to try it as I was going to a Beverley Craven concert at the Exchange in Sturminster Newton. (That is an excellent venue by...

If you're looking for somewhere that offers a delicious roast this is the place to visit! Just like a home cooked roast it was the best roast I have eaten at a pub in a very long time, a choice of 3 meats and a veggie option too. Presented beautifully with more than enough food on the plate, everything cooked...
