We have eaten here on many occasions since the new management went in, delicious food every time with a good varied menu and a specials board, staff friendly and great service! Very impressed that the Chef made the time at the end of his busy shift to come and talk to us! Would recommend.

Large rooms, well kept, very comfortable. Plenty of parking. Lovely pub. All of our party enjoyed breakfast and we appreciated the attention to detail on our vegan breakfast. Jan and Pete lovely hosts.

4 of us took a chance to eat here, after hearing this place had undergone yet another makeover. Grumpy bar service, unsmiling and bored chap serving - maybe we interrupted his chat with the locals, who can say. Food like a bygone 'greasy lil's' even uses dayglo office stars to highlight specials board. My salad was smaller than a garnish,... More

My brother and wife (who are seasoned travellers) stayed here when visiting us recently and were extremely impressed with the quality of the accommodation (it was extensively refurbished a couple of years ago). The pub itself is not over dressed but the selection of beers (it's a Free House) were very good. We met them there for a meal in... More

A group of seven of us ate dinner here. And it was delicious. All of us said we would come back again. I had mozzarella sticks to start, chicken schnitzel for main and lemon meringue pie to finish. Yummy. All staff were friendly and service was quick.

We had the pleasure of visiting The Fiddleford Inn a couple of weeks ago when we were attending a nearby wedding. The room was very spacious and spotless. The bed was absolutely fabulous to sleep in and the shower was lovely. They provided a cot and even took our 4 month old whilst we enjoyed a superb breakfast in peace!... More

We recently stayed on a Friday and Saturday night, eating dinner outside in the pub garden with the locals on Friday evening, and breakfast on both days. The dinner was tasty traditional pub grub and the breakfast could've set us up for the week, let alone the rest of the day. There are shelves of books, games and a few... More

Sadly we wasted £40 eating in this pub. The staff were friendly but the food was horrible, deep fried and burnt. Our mains apparently got mixed up....(only one other table eating at the time ) and our starters were ready at the same time. As we feared the mains had been re heated...... to cinder. Poor quality 1980s style food.... More

Recently stayed at The Fiddleford Inn on the recommendation of a local estate agent!! The new landlords were very welcoming and helpful and had a good knowledge of the local area. Our room was beautifully dressed and the bed very comfortable. For our evening meal we both chose steak which was cooked perfectly to our request and the breakfast was... More

I was quite surprised on arrival that this pub is in 'new hands'. No longer catering with the tiny portions of posh food. The establishment has been refurbished in recent years and is very light and airy. There was a 'London feel' about the place on my last visit. But this time, it had reverted in atmosphere, back to the... More
