On arrival we were greeted with a very warm welcome from Gemma. We we asked how our day as going so far and the reason for our visit. We were shown to our room ( 3 ) which was perfect , it had everything to make our stay very comfortable. We had a table reserved automatically for us in the... More

The room: We stayed one night in room no. 5. An OK room if a little dark and claustrophobic. Plenty of tea and coffee making items although the small cartons of cream were off. The bathroom is large to accommodate disabled folk. Didn't much like the black mould on the grout between the tiles. The food: For our evening meal... More

We visit The Crown on a fairly regular basis are are rarely disappointed. I just want to highlight the outstanding Sunday Roast. Take your plate up to the chef who will add your choice of meat(s), then you can pile up your plate with a fantastic selection of vegetables and potatoes. There is the normal run of the mill carrots,... More

After a very long journey and initially going to the wrong Crown Inn in the area we were extremely relieved to finally get to the right place and see how lovely it was. The room was beautifully decorated and the bathroom was very luxurious. We were a bit disappointed that a cot could not be provided but the single bed... More

16th century pub and lodging. Our room was downstairs and very comfortable. Large handicapped bathroom. Breakfast and dinner were hearty and good. Good pub. Inn is right next to a beautiful church. Mornings were filled with bird song. Lovely stay. I would go back.

We stayed one night as we were travelling through the area on holiday and were very pleasantly surprised. As it is close to a road I was apprehensive but with the double glazed windows closed the room was lovely and quiet. Dinner was great and my partner raved about ' the best fish pie ever' which included mussels and even... More

Unfortunately we only had one night, we'd have liked to have stayed longer. We were passing through with our 4mth old daughter & the staff couldn't have been more welcoming. They even found a table in the restaurant that was close enough to our room that the baby monitor worked. Dinner & breakfast were top quality. The room was clean... More

7 of us arrived here soaking wet as we had cycled from Nunney. The welcome could not have been better. Bikes safely stored away. Heating to rooms boosted to help dry clothes off. Excellent. This is a lovely characterful country pub, well worth a visit whether staying overnight or not. Our rooms were spacious and comfortable. However all are next... More
