We stayed here for a quiet weekend away. It's a lovely hotel and the staff are so welcoming and helpful. The room was very clean and well decorated . There was plenty of tea and coffee in the room and little extras like a hot water bottle and spare blankets. Breakfast was lovely and freshly cooked to order. There are... More

Visited here, Mary's Tea Rooms, with 3 friends & 4 dogs. It was raining & we asked if there was seating outside. The lovely lady said that we could have a room to ourselves inside as the weather was so miserable. We all had the cooked breakfast & it was delicious, cooked how we asked (some of us are a... More

We ended up at the Beach House because I left it way too late to book anything in Weymouth town but I have no regrets. The B&B is another 10 minutes beyond Weymouth itself on the Weymouth side of Portland, literally as soon as the beach road ends and Portland starts. Because I left it late no one could dog... More

I stayed here for 2 nights and it was my first visit to Portland. Roy and his staff were very friendly and helpful and my room was spacious and comfortable. The bed especially comfy after a long days walking! The location is perfect for getting around the island and backs onto Chesil beach. The Sunsets are stunning and the coastal... More

I've stayed at the Beach House five times now. If I'm heading for Weymouth / Portland then I look no further for somewhere to stay. Location wise it's perfect for Chesil Beach, and the Cove pub on the promenade. Also, if you're not driving, a bus stop is 2 mins walk down the road. I've stayed in different rooms here....all... This is an excellent B&B which met fully all my needs. It is well situated very close to the beach and all local facilities. Roy, the proprietor is a very friendly and welcoming host. This will be my B&B of choice any time that I am in the area, either on business or socially. Roly Love thoroughly recommend it!

Very clean, airy and with very helpful and friendly staff. The location is superb, backing onto chisel beach and therefore ideal for exploring the area. The care that Roy the owner has put into the business shines through at every turn. The breakfast was better than many I have had in hotels costing 3 times as much. I'll definitely return,... More

We decided to escape London and visit Weymouth for the bank holiday We found the beach house on booking.com and saw that it had excellent ratings. Room 5 was ideal for us. We were privileged to have had a room with a sea view. The room was impeccable and remarkably clean. Not once trace of dirt or dust. The breakfast... More

Stayed here for a couple of nights and was not disappointed. Backs right onto Chesil Beach which was perfect for an evening stroll. Lovely nights sleep in a lovely room and a hearty full English breakfast. Would fully recommend if visiting the area.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Beach House B&B once used to be a busy pub when the Navy used to be in Portland Harbour. Now with its larger than normal rooms is now a well established Bed and Breakfast backing onto Chesil Beach. We no longer have sea views due to the height of the sea defences behind us but are still located in a stunning part of the UK. ... more   less
