We were a party of four here for a celebratory evening meal (My 60th birthday) The food was excellent and we had very personal service from Nita the owner who was so much fun! She had even very kindly made me a lovely personalised birthday card! My dessert was served complete with an Austrian sparkler and Nita led the rendition...

We really enjoyed our short stay at Stock Hill House - it has a friendly and homely ambience where it is very easy to get talking with other guests. The proprietors worked exceptionally hard and made us feel very welcome - nothing was too much trouble. The dinners were an absolute joy with many of the ingredients being lovingly grown...

We stayed for a week, so were able to sample the full range of chef's cooking, which was invariably excellent. If you like the menu, you won't be disappointed. No lack of facilities, other than poor Wi-Fi coverage (best to stay in reception if you want to use it!) and a range of coffee (only filter available). But these are...

This is a very different hoyel/restaurant. Family owned, it has been developed in a unique style over a period of 30 years. The food has a strong Austrian influence and has an original menu and some great wines. Particularly good for a special family occasion. Service is friendly and professional

This morning I met up with two business contacts at the Hotel with a view to have a business meeting followed by a lovely Austrian Meal. We had found the Hotel on the Internet. I was also looking for a venue for a Family reunion. Apparently we should have phoned in advance as because of lack of guests they were...

We found a week is barely enough time to savour the extravagance of Peter’s amazing creations or the ministrations of the small team at this exquisite country house hotel. From his baking, his pre-starters, his gateaux and biscuits to his high quality and delicious breakfasts and encompassing his well-balanced, unusual and surprising dinners, Peter never failed to delight our taste...

Our first time at Stock Hill, we booked online and wanted a country house with character but not stuffy and dusty. We found a beautifully run immaculate full of character and amazing mirrors in every room hotel. The staff were so helpful and friendly. We ate in the hotel restaurant and it was a totally unforgettable experience, full of charm...
