We had been travelling on the scooter for a while and just decided to stop here for lunch as it was easy to get to. What a find. The staff are lovely, the menu has such a range of food from pork and haggis to dressed crab to omelette. The food comes in huge portions and so reasonably priced. We... More

Pub one could pass by as from the front not that prepossessing. We had however been given a strong recommendation. Service and friendliness great, and we sat out back - had the steak and kidney pie, and a lovely fish pie - the steak and kiidney pie was stuffed full of succulent meat with lovely caramalised onion on top. The... More

The service and food were first class as usual. We travelled over forty miles for this lunch and it was well worth the effort. We all were full after the main course and that would be my only criticism - the portions are too big!! The pudding menu looked wonderful.

Dad & family had a great get together - amazing food, great atmosphere, friendly staff for whom nothing was too much trouble & the beautiful garden made a lovely backdrop for our photographic memories. Thank you for looking after us all !!

Usually eat here while visiting relatives nearby. always good food , prompt service even if staff can be a little too quick off the mark, asking for drinks order before i've even sat down.. i like the Chefs challenge , each chef has a special on the board.

This is not your typical pub meal by a long mile, I had the beef wellington and haggis, my wife the fish pie and I can honestly say that it was the best meals we have had to date. I can not praise the chef high enough nor the friendly staff. The owners are Scottish so too the head chef... More

Ate here in the evening. I chose an item from a board which said "Chef's Challenge" When I got it - Scallops, I realised the challenge was for me to eat it! It consisted of three scallops on a mix of bits of avocado and pieces of inedible dried bacon. It was accompanied by chilli bread which was soggy and... More

We have been in Dorset for a short break after visiting family in Northamptonshire. We live in Canada and when we return for a visit we love to find good pubs to eat in. We were not disappointed with this great find!! We were made welcome by a lovely scottish lady who was our waitress on both occasions we visited.... More

I have visited the Kings Arms on several occasions to enjoy their Sunday Roasts. They offer a carvery Roast from around 12pm right through to around 9pm. I love cooking Sunday roast and for that reason preferred to make my own. After tasting the food T the Kings Arms I changed my mind. It is as close to home cooked... More

We ate here as a party of four. Our meals were fantastic as usual. For those that don't know, the Kings Arms is currently up for sale. Let's hope that any prospective new owners follow the current very successful theme that they have. It would be such a shame if it changed. Good luck and thanks to the current owners.
