We visited the Mortons House Hotel in October/November 2015, and although I promised them faithfuly that I would leave a TripAdvisor review, I am ashamed to say that I'm only getting round to it now. Sorry. Our stay was delightful - when I rang to book, I specifically asked whether the restaurant was doing any 'Halloween nonsense' before booking dinner... More

Great little hotel, great service and super food, nice and relaxing and quiet. Ideally situation for a visit to the nearby castle and the steam railway. The staff are very friendly and the service is very good. We used this as a base to explore the village on Friday and then went to Swanage on the railway on Saturday. Evening... More

Fantastic cream tea at the Mortons House Hotel. Two massive freshly made scones, clotted cream and Jam plus lashings of tea and coffee. All served outside in lovely surroundings with the Swanage steam railway providing period sound effects. Staff friendly and helpful making sure we didn't miss out as we arrived late. Top marks great service we will be back.

We booked a total of 4 rooms for a family get together and the hotel and staff were very good. The breakfasts were excellent and the food good if a little over priced on the veggie option. Fantastic location and the hotel looked to be well maintained for its age. Overall we had a great time here.

This hotel is lovely. Staff very welcoming and helpful and you're shown to your room which is a nice touch. Excellent bed and lovely room. My only quibble was the shower which had no water pressure so would be better described as a dribble. Otherwise would have given 5 stars. Food is excellent in the restaurant. Small bar is ok... Staff are all very welcoming, professional and kind. Food was excellent, I would recommend the steak! My only criticism is that the rooms, which were lovely and clean, could do with some modernising. Our room had a massive crack along the sink and there was no shower, only a large bath which had a weak tap and so took ages... More

A proper hotel where service is paramount ,nothing was too much trouble ,the staff were friendly and helpful particularly to my elderly mother , whose 'accessible' room was perfect . The meals were all excellent , a good wine list and a perfect location to wander in and around Corfe Castle or take the railway into Swanage.

Beautiful building with excellent location. Could not fault the service at all. Fantastic breakfast cooked to order all locally produced ingredients. Nothing was too much trouble we were made to feel most welcome by all staff members. Really comfortable bed and quality linen. Makes all the difference. Would definitely visit again. Compliments to the management

I Would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a nice friendly atmosphere, comfortable room and first class dining. Lovely village setting at the base of Corfe Castle. Perfect for visiting the Jurassic Coast line. My daughter and I were taking on the Macmillan Mighty Hike Challenge and required an early start. It was no trouble at... More

We know the area well and this is in a good central location with plenty of parking, very friendly staff and a nice courtyard. However, the hotel is in desperate need of a refurb and some of the touches you'd expect of a hotel in this price range i.e. a minibar and proper sized TV. Our room was spacious with... More
