This freehouse/restaurant is worth the trip, especially if you like coastal path walks as the views are spectacular! This dog friendly pub is full of real character as well as great real ales too. Quite a quirky layout with separate bars and spacious dining areas. During the warmer months there is also an outdoor barbecue with plenty of garden dining...

Popped in for lunch and a drink. Pub on many levels so more than one bar but only one person serving, so service painfully slow. Varied menu but pricy, crab sandwiches £10! Lovely location and on a sunny day would be great for family's if you can afford it!

We dropped in here after a chilly walk to the Swanage lookout station. We only wanted to eat something light so we had the calamari which was lovely. Friendly service and a smashing view towards Corfe Castle.

Stayed here for two nights in January. Lovely location with stunning views. Our room was spacious, clean and comfy - and nice and warm, which was important in cold weather. Breakfast was excellent, perfectly cooked and enough cereals, juice, etc. We also ate here on the first evening. The chicken supreme and the burger were both very good. Friendly staff,...

The location is excellent with stunning panoramic views from the large garden area at the rear. Best views of the Purbeck Hills. The beers and ciders are not only thirst quenching for walkers but also for a relaxing rest. The property is old, sprawling and spacious with plenty of seating. The decor is old Manor House rustic with beautiful sandstone....

I really, really want to love this place. It's set in a fantastic old building with beautiful views. The staff have always been friendly with nothing to complain about the service - even when it's busy. However, both times I've been here for food it's just been a so disappointing considering the price. The first time I ate here I...

We visited The Scott Arms for dinner with Dorset friends who are regulars. Outside the evening was chilly what with fall coming on, but inside we were warmly welcomed into a pub that seemed to be straight from British central casting. Warm fire. Simple but excellent choice of dishes. Great service. Overall our dinner was memorable and we are already...

We have visited the Scott Arms many times, see my other reviews, and always highly rated it. This time we stayed as B&B customers, dinner as well. The room was pleasant enough, but a stained cloth headboard is an utterly disgusting thing and that's what we got. Cobweb in the bathroom too - not a big deal but shows they...

Stopped in for lunch today. The staff who served us were very nice, the food selection good, sensibly priced, table service was flawless. Superb views. We were on track for a really good review. the one thing which let it down was the ?manager on duty today, being awkward with two customers looking for a table. They were obviously fully...

Coming specially for the draft local cyders and , of course, the view, I took the opentop bus from Bournemouth changing at Swanage. ( Beware full open top buses in season and fine days for I have seen buses going straight pass bus queues as the bus was full. Sometimes I have gone in the opposite direction to a stop...
