Only stayed for 1 night during a SWCP Walk but will hopefully return for more leisurely walks in the surrounding hills and villages . Rose Cottage is quality B&B in a lovely restored cottage . Quality bathrooms and comfortable beds and bedding . Excellent breakfast and friendly owners . Very good meals and a good choice of beer and cider... More

What an amazing cottage with wonderfull people. Very helpfull. On arriving there was a bottle of bubble and a log fire already lite. Very large room and a big kitchen. The cooker was always left on I believe it was a clay cooker. There are no bad points about this place.

Amazing couple, amazing place, calming ambiance and great welcome. We have stayed before and this time spent a lot of our time drying out. (It has not been a great summer in England). Nothing was a problem. I have stayed in hundreds of hotels and hated most of them. This is someone's historic house that you stay in and they... More

I took my mum away fro a few days for her 75th birthday. She loved it, for good reason, Mick and Sue are friendly and thoughtful hosts and the breakfast was great. We took a lovely gentle stroll out of the back garden to The Anchor for dinner on our first night which was great. Thanks to both of you... More

We chose to stay at Rose Cottage whilst walking the South West Coastal Path, it was very convenient for this purpose. Mick & Sue were both very welcoming & the rooms extremely comfortable. Lovely double shower with plentiful supply of hot water and toiletries. We ate at the George Inn which was just a 5 minute stroll up the road,... More

This is Sue and Micks house and they share it with their guests, of which there are many. We arrived late in the afternoon, introductions done and the usual safety talk given we settled for a rest before going out for the evening. The rooms are quite small but very cosy and well equipped. The bed is a comfort zone, you... More

On arrival you will be greeted with a wonderfully warm welcome. The rooms are cosy and very clean, with the exception of the thin curtains I can find nothing even remotely bad to say. That said, the curtains had us up in time for breakfast which is a bonus on a beautiful day by the coast. Breakfast was lovely and... More
