Booked three nights and stayed for four I enjoyed it so much. The farm is in a beautiful setting of rolling hills, pasture and cornfields. The Herdwick hut is tucked away down a long tree lined path giving plenty of privacy, peace and quiet. Everything in and around the hut was was super clean and high quality. It was fun to cook outdoors, light the fire pit, watch squirrels burying acorns in the mornings, hear the owls at dusk and explore the footpaths and bridleways from the farm. We spent a lot of time visiting local towns, villages and beaches too - so much to see - but my favourite day was pottering at the hut, reading in the sunshine, chatting to fellow guests, Jackie the housekeeper and just enjoying being there. It’s a lovely, lovely place. Oh and it goes without saying that sensible measures are in place whilst COVID is still with us.

Just returned from a lovely stay at Highfield cottage located in the village of Netherbury. The cottage had everything you need for a comfortable stay, the location is perfect for long dog walks in the countryside but close enough to all the local Dorset hot spots, would recommend a meal at “The Ollerod” located in beaminster a few miles away for a fantastic quality meal. Would definitely return on our next trip to Dorset. Thank you!

We had a magical time at the Everdene Hut on Laverstock Farm. You couldn’t ask for a more idyllic setting and more hospitable hosts. Great local walks, great local pubs. A totally peaceful place for a getaway!

We stayed in the Everdene shepherds hut. We had gone for much needed peace and quiet and a slower pace of life, and that’s exactly what we got! Waking up in the beautiful little hut after a very comfy night to the sound of the cows mooing for their breakfast, having seen the farmer coming with the hay. We spent many hours relaxing in front of our hut, looking out at the stunning views of the pond and the fields beyond. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. The gift of the tea towel, showing a hand drawn map of the area with places to go was a lovely touch. Highly recommend!

Just returned from a wonderful couple of nights staying in Everdene Shepherds hut.Situated on a working farm the hut had its own little area near the large pond, with views of the hills and the cows.Cooking shed provided or a fire pit near hut.Very clean, everything was provided in these Covid times down to hand sanitiser in the hut,and outside washroom, which you share with the other hut, also sanitising wipes for use in washroom, and a lovely lady keeping everything clean.Very friendly staff. Beautiful walled garden, well cared for animals,I saw chickens, cows and sheep, there's more I'm sure.We bought our little dog;she loved it ,nice walks around the farm.It was very peaceful, nice little touches like the fresh country posie on arrival;dont do eggs as we are plant based but did find a delicious marrow in the help yourselves to veggies box.We were very lucky with the weather, I would love to return someday soon.
