Our stay at Old Bidlake was one of the best holidays we have ever had. As my first camping holiday, Old Bidlake surpassed my highest expectations - the tent was huge, we had so much outdoor space to ourselves (about a quarter of an acre), showers were hot and the kitchen well-stocked. Cooking was great - the rocket stove is... More

I loved the fact that there were only four Bell tents and one vintage caravan in the single field. This made it very peaceful and exclusive. Our hosts were very accommodating and friendly. The Bell tents were lovely and comfortable. The rocket stove allowed us to cook breakfasts and evening meals although it would be good to have the cooking... More

An immaculately kept campsite in a beautiful, unspoiled location. Sue welcomed us warmly, giving us a tour of the impressive campsite facilities. We stayed in the orchard which was small and peaceful. Sue found us a rocket stove to keep us warm so we could roast marshmallows and enjoy the crisp evening. Campers kitchen better equipped than many holiday lets... More

This was our first family camping trip and with 3 children aged 6,3 and 1 in tow it's fair to say we were apprehensive! The camp site was clean, well catered for and a pleasure to be in. The tents were large and the space we had was plenty. We thoroughly enjoyed our mini camping trip and would definitely recommend... More

From the moment you arrive and are greeted, you just know this place is something special. The walk through the orchard and its fairy light lit bushes transports you to an enormous field which is incredibly well kept. The views reach wide and far and if you’re lucky you’ll see deer in the distance. The field is a brilliant size... More

Lovely quiet campsite with only 4 bell tents in a large and peaceful field. The tents are very comfortable and well equipped with futons, lanterns and a cool-box. The kitchen facility has a kettle, toaster, microwave and phone charging points and basics such as tea, coffee, hot chocolate and cooking oil/seasoning etc. - However if you want the authentic camping... Having just returned from 3 nights at Old Bidlake Farm I can't really summarise how much we enjoyed our break. Sue and Nick have thought of every detail to make the experience comfortable yet still retain the feel of camping. We felt so welcomed and it was the perfect way to introduce our toddler to camping. The site is also... More

This is our second visit to Bidlake and it really did feel like a home from home coming back. A huge amount of care and attention has been given to the site and facilities. The tents are lovely, the organization is superb, but it's Sue and Nick that really make the place. They couldn't be more helpful hosts. Bidlake is ideally... More

We had a wonderful 6 day break at Old Bidlake Farm. As someone who usually tolerates camping for 2 nights maximum, I honestly could have stayed another week. The tents are spacious and the addition of hot water bottles was a wonderful touch and they kept us warm on very cold nights. The bathroom facilities are great (not grand, but... More

We have just returned from a short 2 night bank holiday stay - it was great, we were able to take our own bell tent, as their 1 acre plot was all booked, and we got out own peaceful spot next door. The facilities were clean and well thought out, the site was peaceful with great views and the hosts... More
