It's always a little risky booking a holiday from a website which you found on the internet. I can assure others that this is a great place. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in The Pigsty. Very relaxing with lots to do locally. As an added bonus we got clear skies at night so I got the binoculars out and got... More

We stayed in the six-sleeper apartment with our grown daughters and three children under the age of six. The accommodation itself is well-equipped and well-designed, and we never felt cramped physically or psychologically. The property has a paved courtyard - semi-cultivated, so a bee and insect paradise - with a sand pit and a meadow that goes down to two... More

We booked 2 adjoining cottages to accommodate 3 generations - 5 adults, 4 yr old and baby. Both cottages were very clean and well furnished with everything you need. Liked having the tea tray on arrival which was very welcome. Comfy beds and a decent shower in both. We had groceries delivered to the cottages which worked really well and... More

A lovely peaceful location in the countryside but near to Bridport and Burton Bradstock. Stayed in Pigsty Cottage an enjoyed the pretty setting with views over the surrounding countryside. The cottage was very comfy with everything we needed to hole up and relax for a few days.

Our group included 4 adults, a 4 year old and a baby. Rudge Farm was everything we hoped for and more. We rented 2 adjoining cottages, both really comfortable and nicely presented, they provided everything we needed. Beautifully situated in the Dorset countryside but also close to the coast and many activities. The farm complex also included a tennis court,... More

These holiday cottages are set in one of the most beautiful parts of England - near the coast road between Bridport and Weymouth which itself is spectacular. The atmosphere at the Farm is very relaxed - although all the cottages were in use by other parties as well as ours it felt very private and there was so much to... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Rudge Farm Cottages is peacefully situated on a gentle south-facing slope, overlooking the beautiful Bride Valley and close to Dorset’s World Heritage coastline. The farm is a haven for peace and tranquility within 20 acres of beautiful countryside of mature woodland, meadows and lakes. The old farm buildings have been thoughtfully converted into ten attractive holiday cottages, maintaining many of the original features, ranged around a flower-decked yard and with spectacular views across the Bride Valley towards the Coast. The cottages are all 4 star tourist board rated and are comfortably furnished with a warm and inviting atmosphere providing the perfect place for families or couples. The cottages vary in size from one to three bedrooms with most accommodation on the ground floor. Around the Farm we have plenty of leisure facilities, a picturesque woodland walk and sporting activities, including an all weather tennis court, for the more active. Alternatively you can enjoy relaxing down by the meadows or perhaps take a gentle row around the lake. The games room and games barn provide plenty of indoor activities if the weather is not so good. These include pool, table tennis, skittle alley and table football. The farm is also ideal for younger children with safe play areas including a sandpit, swings and slides, trampoline and activity pirate ship. Close to Rudge Farm there are plenty of fantastic beaches, including Hive Beach which has the highly recommended (by the Sunday Times) Hive Beach Cafe. There are also great beaches a bit further afield at Lyme Regis and Weymouth. The Dorset Coastline is a World Heritage site and provides some of the most dramatic coastline in the UK with Chesil Beach, Durdle Door and Golden Cap. ... more   less
