Went here on a Sunday afternoon for Sunday lunch it was lovely very spacious eating area and the selection of food was good the roast potatoes and gravy was especially delicious and plenty of meat I even said to the manager/owner that this was the best carvary that I have had 👍

Location - a less than 10 minute driving distance to the beach but I don't believe it's an easy walk as narrow roads going down to the beach. When we arrived it was not the friendliest welcome from the lady behind the bar... Not unfriendly as such but just not that cheerful(!) Has a musty smell to it in places... More

Visited this hotel for a meal whilst holidaying close by with family as the menu looked quite nice. What can I say about this outdated, grubby hotel? Firstly, it needs decorating in the downstairs areas and perhaps the smell of mustiness would disappear. We were escorted to our table by a very young, friendly waitress and we immediately noticed that... More

This was our second time here. We found this on the way out from woolacombe beach as we have a dog. Very large inside and it also has seating outside. I must be honest thought with the decor inside it may not be upto much but never judge a book by it's cover. The staff were very friendly on both... More

Not bad but sadly average. It was much further from the village of woolacombe than I initially anticipated making it inconvenient to get to since I was walking the Coast Path and the road leading to it does not have a pavement (not their fault but worth noting if you are considering walking to it). However, it did have a... More

I love carveries and this was the best I've been to...food was piping hot and a huge variety of vegetables. Husband had curry which he loved. Apple pie delicious. Staff were very helpful. Could do with makeover outside thou.

Booked as a last minute stay to visit children who were camping nearby wished I had read reviews first, room was cold and dated (tired), bed very uncomfortable not much sleep, although bathroom had been updated but shower didn't work made loud noises water not hot. Breakfast was good and found the staff very friendly, wouldn't stop here again though.

Pub and the food is good carvery. But I wouldn't stay if I was you. Proper old rooms very cold. I don't mind the cold myself. I won't come out of my way to come back. It was either stay here or sleep in car.. If ur passing ok for a pint and food but stay elsewhere I would..

Had an amazing Carvery at the Fortescue. Roast beef was succulent and plentiful, veggies and yorkies were just right. I'd not been before but my friends who hadn't been for years were immediately recognised by the manager and treated like old friends. Brilliant pub!
