We stayed for 2 nights on our wander round Devon/Cornwall. Lovely position with double aspect views from our room. Bit cool and windy to take advantage of the balcony. Excellent hosts and good breakfasts.

Last min break to woolacombe so just needed somewhere to put our heads down after a long drive. Nice welcome from both then shown to our room was well impressed with the little balconies.sadly weather wasnt on our side but it was still nice to sit out and enjoy a cuppa and a buscuit before heading out for a bite to eat. Was really homely and just like the pics on their website/here. Breakfast was yummy. Was a bit of hill down to esplanade so took the car but if ur pretty fit it shouldn't be a problem. Bit out our budget range and smaller than what we would normally book into but had a great stay. Thank you :)

Having returned for a third time...this boutique B and B has everything you would expect and more when visiting Devons best beach. The B and B is decorated to a very high standard. Keith and Cilla are the perfect hosts by making sure you settle in and enjoy your stay. As mentioned already the rooms are all exceptionally clean and decorated to a very high standard. All have a balcony view of Woolacombe Beach. Just a 5 minute walk to the town and beach, leave the car behind and enjoy the many bars in town. Breakfast is served in the conservatory with plenty on offer..cereal, yoghurt, croissants and of course a fully cooked English breakfast and all can be washed down with juice, tea or coffee. I can not recommend this B and B enough...you will not be disappointed. Couples only and no dogs allowed. Wheelchair access is not available.

We stayed three nights and thoroughly enjoyed our visit. The room was spacious, well equipped and comfortable; the balcony was a bonus as the weather was glorious. Breakfast was excellent and kept us going all day. It was an easy walk down to the beach and the town. Keith and Cilla were charming and had lots of helpful local knowledge so we could make the most of our few days. We would definitely return if we were in the area.

Stayed for two nights and cannot speak more highly of it. Spacious en-suite room, sea/beach views from the balcony with the sunset, great breakfast and great hosting from Cilla and Keith. Will definitely be staying again if down this way.

We have just spent three nights B&B at Downland House, everything was excellent including the welcome from our wonderful hosts Keith and Cilla. Our room was everything we could wish for, comfortable bed with crisp white bedding and down duvet. The bathroom was well equipped with really luxurious white towels. The most exciting thing though was the magnificent view over Woolacombe bay from the windows and balcony,it really was the best B&B we have ever stayed at! Breakfast was delicious with a great choice of everything,we do hope we will be able to make a return visit to this very special B&B.

Spent 5 nights at Downland House. We arrived early and the superb hosts Keith and Cilla greeted us and made us so welcome and accommodated our needs. The views from our balcony were beautiful. A lovely house, fabulous breakfasts and spotless in every way. A short stroll to the town and beach. We will be back and can recommend to anyone. Thank you

We stayed here for 6 nights and what a fab time away. Superb hosts, fab breakfasts and a fantastic house. The views from our balcony were beautiful. Everything in the house was spotless and nothing was too much trouble. The house is a short stroll away from the town and beach and what a fab beach it was too. Not too commercialised but still good pubs for eating in. The owners provided little extras too, such as a wine cooler, glasses and a cork screw. Thank you Keith and Cilla.

My boyfriend and myself have just returned from a weekend away at downland house b&b, and it certainly doesn’t disappoint! Upon arriving, we were greeted by the hosts with such welcoming attitude and felt at home strait away. The b&b is beautifully presented inside and out, with 3 bedrooms, which meant your stay felt a lot more personal. We stayed in bedroom 3 which was fitted with a an ensuite bathroom and balcony. The b&b is set just up the hill of woolacombe town, and the view from the balcony is exquisite. The bedroom was tastefully decorated, and filled with homely touches to make your stay extra special. The electric wine cooler was a favourite for sure! The bed was really comfy and the bathroom was really looked after. Each morning we were invited for breakfast in the conservatory (which overlooks the beautiful mountains/sea) where a fresh full English is served with all the added extras. Everything about this place screams relaxation, and I would recommend this place for anyone who needs a peaceful/romantic getaway. Hats off to downland house! We will be returning!
