What a find! Immaculately clean, everything we could wish for. Comfortable beds and all essential items provided saving us from unpacking too much on our overnight stop on the way to cornwall. The breakfast was amazing....setting us up for the last leg of our trip. My only advice get here early to languish in the comfy chairs and beautiful surroundings... More

Had a wonderful 24 hours in Devon with a friend including a stay in this lovely historical place with the most warm welcome. The most lovely tea by the fire and a great comfort night s sleep, nothing was too much trouble for the owners. The grounds surrounding are lovely and I could have stayed in the breakfast room all... Had a lovely 2 days here, the location was great- right by a lovely canal which was beautiful to walk along in the sun. The room had everything we needed and very comfortable. Mr and Mrs Pugsley were incredibly welcoming- Mr Pugsley taught us how to play Croquet and gave us a tour of their amazing vegetable patch! We arrived... More

Our fourth stay here with Mr and Mrs Pugsley, and how welcome we are made each time we visit. This beautiful house and it's lovely owners provide a much needed stopover for us on our way to Cornwall, and we always enjoy the lovely clean, comfortable and homely rooms. Mum and Dad had the ground floor ensuite, with french windows... More

An interesting, relaxed old house and Barbara our host was pleasant and friendly. It's a real family home, with elegant decor and huge rooms. Lovely breakfast, too and big gardens. The only reason I didn't give it five stars is that our bathroom was no ensuite, we did have robes so could walk down the hallway covered up, but I... More

My wife and I have stayed here twice now and on both occasions we were met with a very friendly and welcoming reception. The bedroom was very clean and comfortable and the breakfast was very well cooked and delicious. The house is interesting and Barabara was very willing to share its history with us Although the driveway is a little... More

This was our second visit to Barbara and Peter's B&B. They were just as welcoming as our first visit 4 years ago. It is an experience just being in their wonderful period home, let alone the comfy bed and delightful breakfast. It is rather tricky exiting the driveway and requires vigilance and care.

The B&B is set in lovely garden surrounds and the old coaching inn is full of history and marvelous antiques. Hosts: Barbara & Peter welcomed us to Hornhill with cake and coffee. They were very friendly and provided useful information about nearby eating options. Breakfast: We enjoyed a very tasty and generous breakfast served in a wonderful period dining room.... More

My friend and I stayed here recently on a business trip and were delighted with our twin room, which had comfy beds and its own spacious bathroom across the landing where we found little toiletries for our personal use and large soft fluffy towels too. The house is large and has beautiful antique furniture, is set just on the outskirts... More

My visit to Hornhill was delightful. The location is lovely, with a beautiful view across Tiverton and expansive, well tended gardens. My hosts, Barbara & Peter, were very welcoming, even inviting me to walk their dogs with them through nearby fields and tell me all about the area. The decor could be described as decadent, with big, bold antique pieces... More
