I was visiting Devon on a short motorbike tour and I dropped in to stay one night at the Smugglers Rest. I found a good deal on their website (very easy to use). It's a great little place; excellent food and coffee and Will and Stace are mega-helpful and friendly at all points. Would definitely recommend and I'll be back... More

Had an amazing stay at the Smugglers Rest, breakfast was beautiful and well presented, plenty of options and a great breakfast bar with a continental option. A lunch menu is available with a good selection of sandwiches freshly made with your choice of bread. Cream teas, and a selection of different coffees are available. The bedroom and bathroom was spacious... More

Wonderful welcome by Will and Stacey - couldn't do enough for you. Power cut at breakfast on Saturday morning but that didn't stop breakfast with a bit of quick thinking and firing up the BBQ. All rooms were clean and tidy, some need a little tlc, but the ones finished are well done to a good standard. Would happily book... More

The host are nice and I know they were in a rush to get this place ready for summer but I think they should have concentrated on getting fewer rooms done properly. The room we were given was a throw back to the 70s with no water pressure from the shower at all only to be told that it does... More

My family and I stayed for 2 nights recently and felt thoroughly relaxed from the moment we walked in. Our family room was spotlessly clean and huge. Ensuite bathroom was the size of a small bedroom and had plenty of white fluffy towels to choose from. Will and Stacey made us feel really welcome. We arrived on a Saturday afternoon... More

Will and Stacey are developing a great little B&B in my favourite part of North Devon. Genial hosts - nothing was too much trouble. I am now rapidly catching up on the new world of Gin which Will introduced Nicky and I too - on the lovely sun deck. we'll be back - and we wish them every success. and... More

We arrived well before check in and still were allowed to have access to our room. The family room we were given was huge!!! Lovely toiletries and a very hot... More

From the moment we arrived I knew that this was going to be a good place to stay. My wife and I stayed here for two nights and could not find fault. Will and Stacey had only taken over the place in April and after spending time renovating had opened in late May. The rooms were spotless the towels soft,... More
