We treated our German friends to a two night stay as part of a Travelzoo promotion (two nights for the price of one, with free dinner on first night). It was everything we could have wanted: comfortable, characterful, clean, spacious.

Travelled to Lifton for a weekend break. The area is very scenic and the river fishing was good. The hotel and staff were excellent, very friendly and great customer service. The room was comfortable and clean. We eat in the hotel both nights and we found the food of a very good standard - homely and well cooked, The waitress...

Had dinner at LIfton Hall Hotel one evening. They were celebrating their tenth anniversary and we had a special dinner. It was really good. The chef is really talented. The staff was so friendly, the atmosphere of this restaurant is so relaxing. We were only here on holiday, but we will certainly come back to LIfton Hall if we return...

We had a very pleasant two nights at Lifton Hall, on dinner, bed and breakfast basis. All was good and the staff very friendly and welcoming. Room very comfortable and we spent a couple of hours in it each evening, revising the day and catching up on reading. Dinner was excellent in the bar. Fresh cooked game pies, fish pie...

Our expectations were high. Nice welcome.Room was large, clean but a bit dated. The road outside was quite noisy. The kitchen extractor fan just below the bedroom was irritating and very smelly. Nice busy bar. Young waitress very attentive and friendly. My calamaris starter was inedible. Over fried and so tough my steak knife couldn't manage it. Obviously frozen. Sent it...

Hello It is always disappointing for us to receive a less than favorable review, but like any business we get them occasionally. If you had expressed concern about the noise from the fan we would have happily moved you. We have been here 10 years this month and have only had a few people over this time mention it. If...

Just what we wanted. Two night stay with the dog. Made to feel very welcome and the Beckford Room at the top of a few stairs with big bed was ideal. Spacious enough with shower en suite. It does have two different floor levels so any night time visit to bathroom needs care! We booked Travelzoo offer with tasting menu...

We stayed for 2 nights over our wedding anniversary and very much enjoyed our stay. We ate in the restaurant one night and in the bar the next and had lovely food both nights. Excellent breakfasts and exceptional service throughout. Our room was large with a comfortable settee and the shower in the bathroom was a nice size. We had...

I stayed at the Lifton Hall Hotel for two nights in July. I booked through travel zoo and the price was excellent. Lovely room large with a spa bath in the corner. The food was very good. Good English breakfast and a five course taster meal was part of package which was lovely. The staff were helpful and the whole...

Having stayed at this hotel numerous times in the past we have always found the service extremely friendly and the rooms particularly well appointed. Food can be taken either in the bar or the dining room and is particularly well cooked and imaginative.

Stayed 2 nights, Service, Staff & Restaurant was very pleasant. The food was exceptional, tasty, hot and well presented. All served with friendly smiles. Room was a nice size, comfortable bed, plenty of room to move around in. Even with car park outside our window, which we had open, very quiet at all times.
