Just a few words to describe our stay : the hosts were friendly and welcoming, the accommodation was spotless and full of character, we couldn't help relaxing. The conservatory was tastefully furnished and the breakfast table beautifully laid to compliment the super food. Looking forward to our next stay!!

We stayed at Highwell House at the end of last month, on the recommendation of a friend; the recommendation was well deserved. From our arrival and being greeted with afternoon tea in the conservatory, Anthea and her husband made us most welcome throughout our 4 days’ stay. We had a superb, spotless room facing the church, with a large, fully-equipped...

We have just come back from Devon's best kept secret. A very warm and friendly welcome awaits you on your arrival, after your journey you can sit in the conservatory and relax look at the beautiful stripped lawn encased with an abundance of flowers and shrubs. Our room was bright and light with dual aspect windows, one overlooking the side...

My fiancé and I had an absolutely wonderful stay at Highwell house. Of particular note was the wonderful service from Anthea and Clive, fabulous home cooked food and relaxed atmosphere. The grounds were beautiful, a home away from home. The location - a 5 min drive in to Kingsbridge, and a two minute walk to a fab country pub -...

I spent two nights at Highwell House to attend a funeral in Kingsbridge. The house looks out on a beautiful garden and my room had a view of the church. The room was spacious, well decorated and comfortable, with a TV, an effective radiator and provisions for making hot drinks. The windowless en-suite bathroom with bath and shower was immaculate,...

Nothing is too much trouble for Anthea, she is very friendly and will always put herself out if you have any special requests - she is the perfect host. Breakfasts were superb - a choice of fresh fruit, yogurts, cereal or cooked. The full english...
