Andy & Louise were wonderful hosts. Nothing was too much trouble. The food was fantastic. Couple that with the beautiful Exmoor scenery. It's ideal for a walking holiday. That's why i keep coming back !

We stayed here on the 16th of July for one night only, the setting is absolutely breath-taking, unfortunately our room only had a side view but i can imagine if you book a front facing room you would not be disappointed. The hotel has a fascinating history and the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. We would definitely return, although... More

Had a great 3 night stay here in a standard double room with ensuite which turned out to be exactly what we expected. The welcome was warm, atmosphere relaxed and all the staff went out of their way to give an attentive service. Breakfast was 'right up there' as one of the best we've had for the money spent too.... My girlfriend and I wanted to have a small 3 day break and we found this hotel on the internet (trivago). I had been to Somerset for family holidays as a child and loved them. We saw this hotel and felt it was the right one for us. We arrived late due to bad traffic but as long as you... More

Stayed here at the weekend and had a fabulous time. The surrounding area is stunning. Staff at Simonsbath were incredibly friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. We had breakfast both days, full English was perfect and the salmon and scrambled egg portion size was very generous. We also ate in the restaurant for one of our evening meals and again the food... Took a two night break at this hotel and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Staff very friendly and made you feel at home. Good food and exceptional variety of choice for breakfasts. Able to sit in our bedroom and look out across some wonderful views. The room was warm & very comfortable despite being a standard room with good toileteries in... More

Stayed here over the weekend with a large group of walking friends. This was our second year here and I can't imagine a better place to stay for a walking weekend on Exmoor. ..lovely location, comfortable rooms (most with great views), really delicious dinner and superb breakfast. But best of all are the people, the owner Andrew and his staff... More

Simonsbath House Hotel is a real find. The location is on heart of Exmoor within easy reach of Combe Martin and Woolacombe. The food was excellent but the icing is the friendliness of the hosts. At a reasonable price this is really good value and it is a hotel we shall be returning to.

A return visit, although we stayed in the hotel this time rather than in the cottages. Booking a walking break in Feb was always going to be taking a chance especially as I had booked before the winter had set in. We were lucky, we arrived in a gap in the weather and enjoyed three days of linear walks lead... More
