We stopped here for lunch on a weekday, attracted by the tables next to the river and beautiful looking building. A huge choice of meals, promptly and cheer-full staff and reasonable prices confirmed our first impression and the food itself did not disappoint. Would recommend for lunch.

On recent holiday to devon we stumbled across this Inn,what a cracking find, warm and welcoming publican which is so rare!!!! Lovely seating area with great menu serving all the British classics. We opted for the steak and ale pie and home cooked ham,egg and chips both were of excellence quality ,really well prepared. Would definitely recommend a stop off here😁

Went with friends for a four day break here, Food was fine, all the staff were very helpful and pleasant and the hotel is well placed for Exmoor and the surrounding beautiful countryside and coast. We celebrated one of our parties birthdays one night and the hotel staff were so helpful in making it an enjoyable time. Our room was clean... More

the service at this hotel was second to none. The staff just couldn't do enough. The room was a little dated but comfortable. The location was great if you are looking for a quite break. The hotel have made a leaflet about the local area on what to do and see which helped us greatly. Would recommend.

The carvery at this pub/restaurant was good value for money. The atmosphere in the gallery was pleasant, as were the staff. The only downside was the furniture - the wooden chairs were uncomfortable and not appropriate for those with mobility difficulties. This was made worse due to the smallish size of the tables which meant you had to twist to... More

We always eat here when we spend the day in Exmoor. Today we did remember to book as it is always so very busy (but we have never been turned away, even if we have not booked). We had our dog today so sat in the bar area (Dogs are also allowed in the gallery area but not the restaurant)... More

Five night break here and can't wait to return. What a great location, wouldn't suit everyone, but what does? We loved it! Vast open spaces, peace and quiet and if you like walking you will be in heaven. Beautiful little village and very friendly people. Now on to the hotel. Very welcoming staff, couldn't do enough for us, very informative... More

We have stayed at the White Horse Inn many times over the past 20 years which Peter, Linda and staff continue to run to a high standard. Treat yourself to one of the superior rooms [room 12 is best] for that extra special occasion.

Stayed here for two nights over the weekend end of July. Lovely comfortable bed and room. Nice and clean. Dinner was very nice and breakfast was buffet style, everything you would want for full English breakfast. Staff/owner very forthcoming in advice for walks or drives to get the best out of our stay. So glad we took their advice. We... More
