We recently travelled to Devon to finalise plans for our wedding reception. We had two hotels shortlisted, one being the Two Bridges. The evening we visited there were several telecom contactors vans parked outside. Unfortunately the open plan bar was dominated by one foul mouthed, loud contractor who was drinking heavily with his mates. The girl serving behind the bar... More

If you are looking for a place to gave a special meal out then you would do more better than to choose the two bridges hotel. The food is as good as had setting. We recently went for a birthday meal and cannot possibly fault any part of the evening. The bar is really accommodating as are the staff. We... More

Our first visit to the Two Bridges , we were treated to lunch by a friend , after the call he made about us being late that took forever to answer ? . they did not answer. The positive on this visit was the food was excellent ,came very quick, with a truly professional French lady called Charlene who with... More

I booked a room for us and our dog so that we could both have a meal and wine! The room with a four-poster bed was lovely and included a goody bag for our four legged companion! They were very dog friendly and even provided a towel to wipe paws after a walk on the moor! We've dined here before... More

Reserved a table for lunch on line - very efficient. Arrived in good time and joined lots of customers enjoying the summer sunshine. Our table was in the restaurant. Can only describe the restaurant as a step back in time but not in a good way. The carpet, decor, chairs and clothed tables are something out of the fifties, which... More

We planned to pop in for a cream tea while out on Dartmoor as we knew how good the cream teas are from previous visits. However by the time we arrived we were starving and decided on lunch instead. I had the best sausage and mash ever!! The sausages had black pepper in them and were good quality meat. The... More

Thank you for taking the time to leave your kind comments regarding the food. It's great to hear that you were so pleased with the Sausage and Mash, our sausages come from our local butchers; Howells in Tavistock who always produce great products. I am sorry to hear that the service was not at its best on this occasion, I... More

Dropped in for lunch not knowing what to expect. Great ham, eggs and chips; seriously the best we'd had with a lovely twist. The best chips!! We had a lovely waiter who was efficient and friendly. A lovely stop off. Dog friendly.

That's what the advert says in the Dartmoor tourist guide. However when we arrived, enticed by the advert, the restaurant was closed for lunch due to a wedding. That's poor practice ...Don't take on extra work if you can't look after your core business.

I am sorry to hear that we were unable to offer you lunch when you visited recently. I believe the reason that we were unable to offer lunch that day was due to the fact that we were hosting an exclusive use wedding. This gives our brides and grooms the opportunity book the Two Bridges for their sole use to... More

Ok is pretty much all I can say. Our first visit to Dartmoor in a very long time we decided to stop here on our way through at about 1130hrs. Greeted at the bar by a lady who was, how to put it politely, about as cheerful as Captain Hook would be if he used the wrong hand to wipe... More

Thank you for your feedback. I must apologise; to hear that the welcome you received wasn’t as warm and friendly as we would have liked, this is something that I will certainly look into. Your coffees certainly should be hot, and received at the same time which is of course our usual practice. I am sorry to hear that you... More

Visited for evening meal & found the staff to be very welcoming & attentive. Had drinks in the lovely lounge whilst perusing the menu & the atmosphere was very nice. Good well cooked food from a chef who obviously cares.
