We really love this place. Having had lunch and an evening meal at this Hotel, this afternoon we went out for an afternoon tea to celebrate our daughters 40th birthday. We were greeted by a lovely staff and a warming fire burning in the hearth. When our afternoon tea came out we were amazed at the amount of food there... More

We stayed on a November Saturday evening. The staff were really helpful and friendly. The bar/lounge area has various cosy areas near fires that can be reserved (best to reserve in advance). The room was comfortable. We had a family room which was spacious with a double, single and fold-out bed. The bathroom had a bath with shower attachment, so... More

Myself and the wife stayed the night on our way home. Booking was good and we booked a nice double en-suite room for the night. We pre booked a table in the restaurant ( glad we did as it was busy ) . The meal was excellent with lots of extra touch's and dishes, and the service first class. To... More

Called in here today after going out on the moors. Great coffee. Good service. Dogs welcome - even a towel provided by the door to wipe their paws. Lovely big rooms with comfortable sofas and real fires.

First time staying but recommend and was not disappointed. Stayed with a friend and had our 2 dogs with us and made very welcome. The room was nice (9)although only one thing was that the dressing table and desk were tilted and being a shiny surface stuff when we put things on there they tended to slide forward which was... I took my elderly mother and aunt here yesterday for cream tea as it was Mum's birthday. Like the previous reviewer we had reserved a table and were shown to one in the bar area by the window and close to the fire, which suited us fine. The sandwiches and cakes were absolutely delicious and we went home with 3... More

I went for an afternoon tea with my boyfriend on Sunday after the recommendation from his parents. We were really excited and decided to book to make sure we had a table reserved. Upon entering the hotel, we could see it was busy with a lovely buzzing atmosphere in the main lobby and surrounding areas. We waited at the bar... More

Took a trip to Two Bridges in October for one of their famous cream teas. We picked a day when a wedding was on, so it was very packed. Difficult to park, but we squeezed in. The cream tea itself was very good, generous, scones huge, but very crumbly and a bit difficult to eat due to the seating arrangements... More

Been here many times before, in fact a favourite spot! Brought up in Tavistock and now living the other side of the Tamar. Fancied a walk and some tea so popped in here. The place was filthy, tables covered in uncleared meals and crumbs everywhere. Even when cleared no staff bothered to wipe down our table so covered in someone... More
